Air conditioning unit. Otherwise sit outside in the shade until things cool down. Fans won’t do much to help.

On our trips abroad with a touring caravan with no air con these are the things that helped.
Dark canvas shades for the actual windows, home made, pockets for top corners and a tie lower down. This meant we could have the windows open without letting in the sun. Roof lights shaded but open to let the heat out. Large wet sponge in dish in front of fan. We coped with temperatures in excess of 30deg for weeks like this.

We are in our caravan in France atm. We have our dog with us as well. Tbh I wouldn't have booked if I had known the temperatures were going to be so high. We are on the coast in Brittany so at least we are not central or south. Luckily the caravan is under some shade and we have a decent fan. The main problem is when I have to get some shopping in . The supermarket is only a couple of miles away but I worry about the dog as we cant leave him in the caravan. He has been ok so far . We just stay in the shade all day and dont go out until at least 9pm when we take the dog a quick walk. I keep meaning to get up really early and go out then but tbe heat is knocking me and dog out.

Our dog used to lie in the shade under the caravan on a damp towel. You can do the window shade trick also with a damp hand towel draped over the window. Supermarket trips were good because we would have the air con full blast and once there one of us would take a stool and the dog and sit in shade whilst the other shopped. You can also get small plug in fans for the car which the dog enjoyed.

Yes, my husband stays with tbe dog in tbe shade and I nip in the supermarket. I haven't tried a damp towel over the window. I'll give it a go. Thank you. I keep trying to get him to lie on a wet towel but he looks at me like I'm daft as only spaniels do !

We open all the windows in our static van, keep all curtains and blinds shut and have those square coolers which you fill with water and put in an ice block thing.

We fill those spray bottles (for indoor plants) with cold water and spray both the air and the dog with them every hour or so.

Is it possible to fit thermal blinds?
That’s what we had in our motohome. We also had one that fitted over the windscreen.
We were often in very cold weather so the system worked both ways.
