The price of a cup of tea.

Cheap. About $6 here but you do get a little teapot usually. A lot of choice these days, too. The v best is our local Vietnamese restaurant where it is free and you get a whole thermos flask full. No milk though.

I love a cup of tea proper tea drinker but it’s getting very expensive for the treat out now isn’t it? You feel like you’re buying the whole box of te a bags!

Do I need to say that on any commercial premises there is more to a cup of tea than teabag, container, milk, water and sugar?

There are rent, rates, wages,heating, insurance, maintenance - and all these will vary with the premises.

The country park café had outdoor seating, no frills. Yes, obviously wages etc are important.
I think the museum café undercharged.

I agree, Sago especially about paper cups. Lately we’ve been taking a flask of tea and a homemade cake out with us. I’m neither mean nor poor but I’m fed up with paying so much for a little treat. Especially when we go out a lot.
