I stopped getting my weekly housekeeping money out of the ATM as we has a spat of machines being tampered with and people losing money. Looking back on my bank statements I see I am spending far more money using my debit card.
Anybody else in the same situation ? I feel using cash is a better option but I hate having to meter money out to last the week. I have done it all my life and now I am a tiny bit better off I like the fact I can buy a little of something I fancy.
BTW its my Husband who has said we should cut back but with food prices rising I dont think I am being that reckless with the budget just fed up with rising prices.
I have always made meals from scratch dont like ping meals but even the most simple cost/effective meal feels expensive I really dont know how people cope, I shop Lidl /Aldi the tea bags I like have gone up from £1.15 to £1.49 Loo roll £1.49 to £ 1.55 OK only pennies but when everything has gone up 10p + it makes you wonder when its going to even out /stop
