There is a problem with the BBC weather app.

I did laugh when I looked at our weather this morning 😂

I noticed this last night. Managed to resolve it by forcing a stop. (For my android phone : SETTINGS, then APPS, then BBC WEATHER then FORCE STOP).

I hung the washing out thinking it would dry quick! Not funny really- thinking about Florida.

There is an apology/explanation on the BBC site. They are ‘working to fix the problem’.

I see there is a note now on the app stating there is a problem.
When I started this thread it was only mentioned on the BBC news app.

There had been concerned posts on other threads on here though

Yes, I was a little perturbed by warnings of hurricane winds in my home town in East Kent.

Hurricane forecast in Holt but forecast is calm and drizzle in Weybourne 3 miles away 🤣

I must admit, a few days ago when news first broke about the hurricane heading for Florida, I did wonder if we might get a version of it here, in a weakened state, so I can understand why some folk may have got a bit nervous when the word ‘hurricane’ appeared on a weather forecast app here

Ive been following the news of the storms and on the news it said that Sarasota county had been badly deluged. I used to use a shipper whose main warehouse was in Sarasota. Fortunately I moved to one in Ohio some time ago. Well out of the hurricane path.
