Good Morning to all. It’s brightening up over Severnside. I’m glad you got home safely Mick and hope your son arrived safely home too grandMattie. He is only two weeks away now instead of many miles ?

I took my first long trip out yesterday and went to do some bubbling. I felt very tired when I got back home.

If it stays dry I might give my front border a dig over ready for when I decide what to plant.

Let’s hope a good day is had by all good morningers ?

Good Morning all from East Staffordshire, promises to be a lovely day today.
Had a friend round for a drink last night, he is single and one of DH friends, my goodness he can talk, I understand he hasn’t seen anyone for 14 weeks but woah.. it seems he is now in our bubble?
Off for a walk around the trails this morning with the pooch and DGS now he is walking he is always 2m away from me!!!! I like to let his mummy have a lie in.
This afternoon I am going to rent a movie from sky and have a lovey snuggle with the pooch in the sofa.
So glad you managed to get home ok Mick good service from the bus company.

Mattie jr arrived in Blighty yesterday morning. He’ll be here until the end of July, then go back to his college near Mumbai. We’ll see him for most of July which is fabulous.

Nothing different today. Walk, “church” and probably a nap after lunch. Not actually going to church takes away one of the markers for the week, don’t you think?

Oh! Forgot - kitchen surfaces/walls to clear For our painters tomorrow. They’ve done so well, I think that they will have finished by Wednesday, a week earlier than they had estimated.

Oh, just realised what bubbling is.. silly moi. We’ve got no one, until DS1 comes round...

Good morning everyone from Malaga where the forecast is for 27°C ?

After our stroll around Arroyo yesterday we put our purchases in the apartment then went downstairs to have a tapas lunch and a crisp G&T in Juan’s bar. All but 3 tables were taken as it was 2pm - the Spanish lunch time up till 4pm. Then the bars and roads are deserted. You could hear a pin drop on the streets. Siesta time! This has never been so noticeable as such - I think it’s because there are no flights, no visitors and the hotels are still closed. The only people who are out and about live here. The rhythms of the Spanish way of life are more apparent.

I’ve loaded up my Kindle with 8 books to tide me over the next few beach days. Ooh, which one to choose first? ?
Always a pleasure selecting my next read.

I rang a friend in the U.K. whilst Himself was having a beer with his friend. We were on the phone for over an hour! I prefer a call over FaceTime. It was lovely to have a proper catch up. She lives alone and was delighted now to be seeing people in a ‘bubble’.

No plans for today. Will see what unfolds. I shall definitely avoid all news on tv. It is all getting beyond my comprehension. Himself is out on his walk. I think I’ll put the kettle on again.

Good morning Mick. Sorry the adventure didn't turn out quite how you planned, but glad it ended well with you safely home and a nice meal.

I can hardly describe the storm in Cheshire last night and I hate thunder and lightning. I noticed when I was sitting out about 7 last evening that the sun was very hot. I was able to shut out the storm apart from the flashes through the edges of the blinds. By the time I went to bed I could see the stars and now it's a brightish morning, although there's a mist hanging over the woods.

How wonderful that your DD is now very close grandMattie. Not long now and worth the wait and what a homecoming you're able to enjoy now. I'm 'bubbling' on my own! May fit into someone's bubble as soon as they get sorted.

Just a few jobs to do, like sort out the chaos in the freezer before a delivery tomorrow. I will get on with a long-term work project, and have some chats with family and friends.

My friend is thrilled that tomorrow she can go and meet her DH in the grounds of the care home, weather permitting. She's afraid he won't know her after 12 weeks, as he has dementia. It makes me realise that some have far more to cope with than I.

Good morning everyone from Inverness, we’ve got the sea haar again, a misty low cloud that rolls in from the coast. Yesterday it gradually cleared so fingers crossed it’ll be gone by lunchtime

I had a lovely long walk yesterday mostly through woodland to the university park gardens. I saw the family of swans there with the baby cygnets who’ve grown so much in the past couple of weeks ! After that I walked over to the retail park where Tesco is, did a bit of shopping and then DH picked me up - sorted ! ?
Not much planned yet for today, hopefully a video chat later from DS who’s in Switzerland.. He was back at work last week and I know he’s been really busy so interesting to hear how it’s going.

What a day mick and good on the bus company for getting you home safely.

Good morning everyone from a sunny Essex by the sea. We had a lovely day yesterday until about 5 then we had a massive thunderstorm. We could see it coming in across the sea.
We bought ourselves a new car yesterday. DH is retiring at the end of the month and his company car has to go back, we are picking up the new one on the 1st July. We got a good deal on a lovely car.
Today we have two cars to clean and sort out.
Roast pork later.

Well done the bus company for getting you home eventually. A bit of an adventure for you!

So glad your son has arrived home at last, Grandmattie, you must be over the moon.

Despite being stuck in, the days are flying by, who can explain to me where the hours are going? Once I'm back to looking after DGD, hospital appointments etc, I don't know how I'm going to fit it all into my day. ?

Yesterday, DD and her fiancé arrived to pick up her share of the Tesco order, had a coffee and a special cream cake treat, courtesy of Tesco. My daughter thinks it's amusing that I still treat her like a child with little treats ?
As they stood in the rain, DD refused to go, as she felt I needed some company, having only DH to speak to all week! She is correct there. ?

Just after they left, DS2 arrived with his fiancée, so a pleasant hour was spent, just catching up. ( Again in the rain!)
My future DIL's mum had been seconded to our local Covid ICU unit and was finding it very gruelling, especially as her own father was suffering from terminal cancer, hundreds of miles away in Manchester. Of course because of lockdown and her job, she hast been able to see him.
Life has been so cruel for her recently.
However, as the need for ICU beds is decreasing, the hospital managers have shown compassion and sent her back to her own ward, where her friends and colleagues can support her at this difficult time.

I'm off across the field to get the papers. DH is champing at the bit to get out. I swear he is getting up earlier and earlier each morning! Why? We have nowhere to go!!
Virtual Mass for us when we get back followed by my Sunday treat, sitting in the conservatory, reading the papers. Simple things.

I have been thinking of our missing posters, especially, Bluesapphire, Annesixy and * Jacq10*, who are finding life challenging at the moment .

My little DGD arrived safely in San Francisco after her 6 hour flight from Florida. She’s a tough cookie and an experienced solo traveller at only 9 years old, but Nana was a nervous wreck until I heard she had been picked up safe and sound. She is spending summer with her father. Unfortunately her parents split up five years ago so her life hasn’t been easy, shall we say.

Can’t believe it’s Sunday already. I seem to waste so much time doing very little so the days pass far too quickly.

Good morning from east London, blue sky, sunny and warm. Just one short sharp shower yesterday evening, which meant I still had to get the watering can out for my tomatoes. Tried a different pizza dough yesterday, using plain flour in place of bread flour and yeast instead. Came out thin, crisp and chewy. DP’s comment was that it was very close to the best takeaway pizza he had but still likes ‘the original’ best. I thought it was pretty good myself but we’ll have to wait til DS rises to see what the casting vote is. Bit of plant tending to do later, may see DD later as GD1 is due back with her for the coming week. Hope you have a good day.

Good morning all. Until 10 minutes ago a beautiful sunny sky here in the Suffolk coast. The sea lapping gently on to the beach. It’s now clouded over.

Had a very chatty day yesterday. My neighbour had her DS and BIL round for a coffee in the garden and invited us in which was lovely but like your friend Scentia , he couldn’t half talk. ?. My husband not being very sociable, got more and more quiet and hardly said a word, oh for a happy balance.

I then managed to get fish and chips from the beach cafe and took them to my elderly SIL who has been dreaming of fish and chips. She hasnt been out for 3 months. She asked me to please stay for lunch in the garden and we spent a couple of happy hours chatting away. I’m not sure about this ‘ :bubble business’ . Too confusing for me.

Later on both Ds’s phoned for a long chat. Well I was plum tuckered by the evening. All chatted out!

I remembered to get my chicken out of the freezer last night, so either a roast or cold with new pots and salad. See what the weather holds.

I hope the forecast is correct and the rain holds off as DD2 and co are travelling the 2 hours or so to sit in our garden for a couple of hours before they go home again. We have lovely thoughtful children.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Another nice day here. Had a lovely walk and barbecue with DD and family yesterday. I need to shop today as we have no Sunday roast. It's DS last day at his supermarket job so I have him to feed all day for the next fortnight. My shopping bags will be heavier.

Morning everyone from a dry and bright north Wales where I’ve only just woken up! I seem to keep a running balance on how many hours sleep I get and I’m well in credit at the moment!

That bus trip was a bit of an adventure Mick! All’s well that ends well, eh! We didn’t get that storm Ginny or even any rain, and we’re not that far apart are we?

Lazy day today, just eating out of the fridge as I’m shopping tomorrow - some strange meals will be enjoyed! Stay safe everybody x

Morning Mick, morning All. It must have poured in the night, huge puddles. Overcast with more rain forecast for our corner of Somerset. The flowering plants need umbrellas. FaceTime later with some of the family, impatient with the limitations now, lovely though it is. Will do some plant tidying if there’s a dry spell. Pleased the bus company looked after you Mick. Be gentle with yourselves everyone.

We watched an interesting film about J Edgar Hoover last night, but we both dropped off to sleep before the end (not from boredom) ... so we’ll have to rewatch the second half.

Yesterday, I cleared out the cupboard where we keep our medication and related bits. I found eye drops which expired in 1996 ... I do check the meds regularly but these must have evaded my inspection regime, many, many times!

Not feeling terribly well today, I have several related health conditions and it only takes one to play up ... So a quiet day for me. My partner has roasted a piece of pork for our supper and we can have something simple with it.

Good morning everyone planning a walk with friends today, socially distancing of course.

We went to a local beauty spot yesterday to give the car a boost. Everyone was sitting in the courtyard drinking coffee from a stall. I just didn’t dare and I came home feeling quite depressed.
It is my birthday tomorrow and not sure what to do. I usually spend it with the DC and GC. I know we can Zoom but it is not the same. Last year my DiL made a lovely cake.
