Bright sun in South Bucks hope it lasts.

It’s our WI Summer Show today. Everyone is encouraged to submit something. I have written a limerick as I don’t do craft or make cakes. I am the official photographer today too.

Lovely morning all - relaxing day today as yesterday was busy and tomorrow will be spent washing and cleaning before flying back to Wales- can’t wait!

Good morning all, it's warm and muggy in east London.
My partner is much better today, having been really unwell, so that's a good start to the day. He brought me coffee in bed, which is a good sign.
Nankate, it would be lovely to hear your limerick.

Morning Mick, morning All. Looks damp and very windy outside. Two grandchildren arriving soon for two days. Menu requests have preceded them , anticipate fun and exhaustion in equal parts. Hope Tuesday is kind to everyone.

A late start as we have gone to Blackdown (in the car) for our morning run ?‍♂️?‍♀️
It's pretty steep in parts so I expect to be puffed.
Only an M&S food shop on way home then an invigorating shower and brekkie.
Temp was a warm 18° at 6.15 at home with a patchy blue sky and a few rays.

Good morning Mick and all who follow, from a very damp and cooler Glasgow.

Feeling a bit low this morning. Yesterday, I phoned to update my (specialised) travel insurance for my (hopefully) forthcoming trip to Rome, only to be told that they could no longer insure me, due to medical conditions oveload !!!!! , .
I eventually managed to buy a single trip one at an exorbitant price, thanks to those grans who offered suggestions.
It wasn't the cancellation that upset me, it was the fact that I'm perceived as such a high risk now.

Then something really nice happened to me, which I will post on the happy thread.

Anyway, as usual I will pick myself up and enjoy my time with my wee granddaughter today.
We will probably go and see my sister in law and try and sort out her emails.

Overnight rain, dry at the moment but showers forecast for S Welsh coast. DS has dropped off his little dog as he is going to London for work today.
Hydrotherapy later and will stop somewhere for a coffee on the way home.

Hope the day goes quickly for Gilly as she is working and looking after little ones as well I think.

Good morning everyone from a sunny but blowy Malaga. A bit of childminding today as our daughter and son in law want to go into Malaga port (which beautiful now) for cocktails this afternoon with some friends who arrive there on one of the stops on their family Mediterranean cruise.

This evening it will be more childminding as it’s their wedding anniversary and they have made a reservation to eat tonight at a favourite restaurant down on the marina at Benalmadena. They love it there.

Hope Tuesday is good to us all whether we have plans or none. x

Good morning all; blue skies here in Northampton, but it's not suppose to last.

DGDs here today; we are going out for lunch, then to the cinema to see 'Horrible Histories'; I need to take my big bag as I shall go laden with popcorn, drinks and a small packet of sweeties each for the girls.

Glad you got your insurance sorted Marydoll, what a shock though. It became extortionate to insure late DH, but we did eventually find a very accommodating company.

Meant to say Marydoll that insurance company who declined to insure you must have pulled the rug from under your feet and made you feel vulnerable. A bit of a shock I imagine.

Don’t dwell on it - it’s good you are able to go on your holiday with another (albeit expensive) company. Focus on that. x

Buongiorno from a very hot Italy. Hopefully a quieter day today as yesterday we were preparing passata all day.

Good morning from the NE coast where we have a dull start . Rain expected later .

I am just about ready to open the breakfast cafe for the 4 DGC, with a range of tempting things to start the day. Various cereal choices, various yoghurts, fresh fruit, warmed pain au chocolat (DGD2’s special favourite) toast with jam, peanut butter or Nutella and eggs to order. They absolutely love it and will take ages over choosing and eating which can only be a good thing.

I hope it starts fine for at least part of the day as I really need to get them all out of the house at some point.

I hope to get a little bit of work done later when little Miss has her nap but it can wait.

I’m so glad you got sorted with your travel insurance, even though it has cost you an arm and a leg, Marydoll . Go ahead and enjoy it even more. You deserve to !

I was listening to an article in local radio yesterday about how many people travel without insurance (apparently 1 in 5 ) as they think “it won’t happen to them” fools. It’s just not worth the risk.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. We had a couple of light showers yesterday and more expected later, but not enough to really water the garden. The temperature is just right in the low 20s.
Things are quiet here as a lot of our groups close for the summer.

Climbing wall with dgs this morning. We saw the Lion King yesterday and were mostly underwhelmed.

Good Morning from a wet Fife, quite dreech! DD and DGS's coming along today, goodness knows what we shall do in this rain. Good news Scottish exam results out and my cousin's daughter did very well, she is now off to Uni. Mary, good that you got your travel insurance sorted. Hope Tuesday is good for everyone.
