Locked out for 2 weeks...

Every now and again I get the " flash card " relating to privacy,etc which I keep having to press the accept or it keeps flashing at me-----what a pain ! HQ must be sick of seeing my " acceptance " all the time for no reason.

I no longer get the daily GN email, they stopped nearly 2 weeks ago. I have contacted admin and await a response.
I too was abroad last week but that shouldn’t make a difference, should it?

Thank goodness it's not just me or my new machine gillybob. It is annoying and makes me feel stupid.

Have you tried clearing out the cache of cookies on your iPad? That sometimes works. If your not sure how to do that, go to Settings then Safari. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Clear History & Website Data.

Having said which, my vintage IPad had a massive tantrum this week and I had to get it sorted out at the Apple shop. It seems to be working much better now although I now can't download certain things because it's so old that it won't update anymore.

I suspect that my iPad is also too old to update now, but I never liked updates - always (to me needlessly) altering something that was fine before.

I once asked a dd's partner (an IT whizz) , whether/how I could reverse something an update had done. He said probably not, and for this very reason he never allowed updates on his own iPad!

The problem with not updating is that you then can't access certain things. I'm unable to play Words with Friends now as it needs a newer version of IOS and can't download some apps I would like for the same reason.

After 3 weeks my daily gnet email was delivered again this morning. Quite what that was about I know not.
