I am up super early as I am off on a coach trip with Mum to Leominster, and Westbury Water Gardens. She is a lifelong Unison member and they organise trips for all those retired.

Looks like a lovely day weatherwise also

Good morning from the NE coast where we have a bright and sunny start to the day . The Tuesday morning breakfast cafe is now open with 4 small customers all wanting something different. Then mad dashes to schools with little Evie in tow. It’s a bit stressful but t least we have A/C for the PM runs.

Up to DS's this morning for a shower. Still awaiting a phone call about my new hot water tank. British Gas have promised a phone call..... Will call them again. Then health walk this afternoon.

Dentist yesterday. Apparently I need three fillings replacing, and I have opted for a new crown.

Making the most of the nice weather - first load of washing is in. Have a nice day everyone.

Good morning everyone from South Manchester where it’s sunny at the moment but there are quite a few grey clouds.

I’m off to see the optician too this lunchtime Mick. It’s a routine eye check but I think I may need stronger lenses. Then a manicure, off to take grandson to his swimming lesson before home to eat and run through my checklist of stuff to go into my airport handbag - I never trust my memory - as we are back to Malaga in the morning.

The description of your small customers in your breakfast cafe made me smile gillybob you are such a kind grandma.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. We have the sun back again this morning. Lawns will be cut I think. We may get a walk in the woods before the school run this afternoon. DH’s tooth is still giving cause for concern despite another visit to the dentist. We will see what today brings. Have a good day folks.

Good morning all from a bright, but breezy Glasgow.

An easy day today, just being out a doctor's yesterday was enough to leave me exhausted and with chest pain.

This morning I will officially cancel our holiday to Spain next week and start the battle with my insurance company to get some of our money back.
Also, I will have to warn them we may have to cancel our Rome holiday in September! GGGGrrrrr!!!!!!

On a lighter note, we have DGD this afternoon and will have to batten down the hatches for the expected hurricane!

To all those with health problems. hoping for some improvement for you.

I’m so sorry you will have to cancel your planned holiday Marydoll. I totally sympathise as we have been forced to cancel a few over the years . I hope you don’t have too much of a fight on your hands with the insurance company . I can understand that sick feeling in your stomach when you finally make the call . I’m so sorry . You needed that holiday . But hopefully you will make it to Rome in September . Try and stay positive x

Morning Mick and everyone. Glorious at 6.00 gloomy by 7.00 in Cheshire. Out for a walk in the woods at 9.00, then meeting an old colleague- old in both senses- for lunch.

You couldn't drive your OH up to Cheshire I suppose Nina? My gardener has always been a bit casual about coming, but this has now been three months. Managed to grab someone else's yesterday to trim the box hedge- it's cut, but looks as if he used a knife and fork. Still better than I could have done it!

All feeling unwell- take care of yourselves. Sorry about your ongoing discomfort Mary. Take it easy and good luck with the phone calls!

I managed to find an outfit yesterday for the upcoming wedding .

Morning Mick and every one. Sun is shining this morning and warm lovely. Going to see my best friend today as she is so sad her dog died yesterday and only 4 yrs old. The vet has done several test but still no reason why. Pets regardless ofor what they are become part of your family. Anyway on that note I hope you all have a lovely day.

Good morning everyone from a gloriously sunny Birmingham. Commiserations to all those under the weather, especially Marydoll.
I have my Italian group this afternoon, but before lunch I will do a bit of repotting and general tidying on my balcony. I will walk across the park to my group. Yesterday I saw swans with their beautiful grey fluffy cygnets, and a group of very comical goslings. The park is looking lovely.

DH has lunchtime appointment but must leave very early to try and get a parking space.
Shame about having to cancel your holiday Marydoll but needs must. We have not booked anything this year because of our health, we had to cancel our weekend away for our anniversary last October and lost the full cost.

Waiting in this morning for visit from water board to assess whether we can have a meter fitted - any time between 8 and 12. I do hate waiting around!

Morning Michael, Annie and all. Beautiful sunshine here, at the moment. Long may it last. Just been outside to bring back the recycling bin from the front, and been given a hello, slobbery kiss from the lovely young boxer who lives over the road. (That’s as in canine boxer, in case you all thought otherwise!). Volunteering this afternoon, and I have lots of donations to take with me, as I have been good!
Sorry to hear that Marydoll is still not as well as she should be.
I am another who would welcome Nina’s DH here in Berks to do the garden. Still I can live in hopes.

Sunshine but also a lot of cloud as well. I'll bet we'll be the ones who have the torrential showers that have been forecast for the North----but nothing specific about the area, NW too ?
Although sunny as it was yesterday that breeze was quite cold, which I don't like. It needs to warm up for me

Was going to go to Asda today but will leave it for a couple of days before the long weekend so will do some ironing instead----yesterdays washing.

Sorry about the cancelled holiday Marydoll but it's no good when you're not up to it so I hope you're rightly reimbursed. There's no pleasure in going anywhere if you're not up to the mark though when you're unwell you don't care anyway as that's when there's no place like home !

I've woken up with a splitting headache but as I'm off today will be able to take things slowly.
I've now heard that I have been accepted on to the College course.
So I will be starting the process of formally applying for a Sabbatical.
I've already been told informally I can have it.
