Where are all the £2 coins?

They are all in my purse!
It was heavy yesterday so emptied it out.....lots and lots of £2
Coins.

Just looked in my purse I don’t have any. Why are you saving them?

They are in my jar

In a polythene bag in the desk drawer hahaha and 50p's too.
I might have one in my purse right now, I'm not sure but if so it won't be there long.
Don't know how many I've got altogether ! Our money is fast becoming worthless.

I must admit that there are a lot of them with varying " anniversaries etc " on one side, the same as the 50p's.

Other loose silver change is in a pot and the coppers are bagged up in a cupboard.

People buy those 'pots of dreams' , usually from card shops. I have one and I know quite a few other people who do too. When full to the top with £2 coins, they say you will have £1000. That's where they are all going I think.

They are like hens teeth I decided to save them for a new phone and after a year I had less than £200 and that’s religiously putting them away every time I got one in my purse I can go weeks without getting one in my change

I save £2 coins and agree there doesn't seem to be many in circulation at the moment.
Could it be that we are all saving them in our piggy banks? ? ?

I rarely see a £2 coin these days probably because people are saving them. Pretty stupid question fro the OP when they know they are saving them do they think they are the only one?

I save them too. Also put in a 50p with each one. The GCs get to share them out from time to time.

I think it is because lots of people for some reason do save £2 coins. When I give change out of my till at supermarket, sometimes there will be £2 coins in the change and they always say "ohh good got some £2 coins" some will even ask "can I have my change in £2 coins. (I may give a couple but we have to spread the change out not just give it to "a" customer.

I wish !!! Am saving 20p coins and feeling really chuffed because I have just graduated from 5p coins to 20p ones. Was feeling rich as well until I read this thread and realised most people are wealthy enough to save £2 coins - ah well, maybe one day

we save them too ,I think we have about £3000 worth ,maybe more .We reached 5K before and spent it on the new Plasma Tvs that were just out .Dont know what this collection will buy ,new grandchild on the way so maybe something for the nursery .Sons partner lies Stokke prams and cots and they aren't cheap .

paddyann Was your bank OK with you taking all those coins in? We are saving them for a trip to Rome and I feel a bit dubious about taking a lot of coins into the bank.

Last time I asked my bank for some coin bags I was told if I had more than £10 worth I'd need an appointment to pay them in.
I save my loose change with Chip and it comes straight out of my bank account each week and I've saved over 800 quid in around 6 months. No more lugging loads of coins to the bank for me.
