Pregnancy Bump

There have been several remarks on the radio and press about the Duchess of Sussex's habit of seeming to hold onto her "bump". So what ! When my bump was large I used rest my hands over the top of it. Maybe I found it a comfort or needed to be reassured. Either way there was no harm in it . The British Press are diabolical , first Meghan Markle could do no wrong, breath of fresh air, will modernise the Royal Family etc etc . Now she's bossy, has upset everyone, she and Kate at war and so on. Now they stoop to make fun of a pregnant woman. Pretty low even for them.

I think the medias coverage of the Duchess of Sussex is deplorable, no wonder she hugs her bump it's a protective gesture.

One of the many reasons I pay no attention to Newspapers, News programmes or even headlines. Its all manipulated twaddle - some just annoying some diabolically divisive. The only news I pay any attention to is what my friends and family are up to.....plus any juicy gossip in the village shop.

The media are dreadful, half of which is made up. It's as if they have to find something to harp on about. Meghan is lovely as is Harry, for goodness sake leave them alone and let them be.

A new one on the Twitters is alleging she isn’t pregnant at all, and is wearing a silicone bump, while a surrogate is carrying the baby!

Well there’s an audience for this type of garbage ??

And here it is Anja

Peace and harmony doesn't sell newspapers. If Kate is presented as duchess perfection...there is only one vacancy for Megan ...the opposite if newspapers are going to have stories to sell. I feel sorry for her.

She's a pretty thin girl but has a bigger bump than I had at full term. I was slim but not thin and wore ordinary clothes throughout with no bump to lean on. She was 6lb 4ozs.

As my dh would say ..... half the lies they tell aren’t even true.

I was slim when starting my first pregnancy.
I went in to give birth weighing 9 stone12lbs and wearing size 14 normal clothes
I think she will be enormous with her second , I wish her well though.

I had an enormous 'bump' the first time but it got smaller with each pregnancy!
It was very useful for balancing a cup of tea.

52bright that is most interesting, you could be right. HRH Duchess of York (later HM Queen Elizabeth) and Wallace Simpson, Duchess of Windsor.

Yes Jalima1108. Also Diana and Fergie.

The QM fed the hatred towards Wallace. Diana said in the squidgy tapes she was glad Fergie was getting the flack, it took the negative attention away from her .

My DiL's baby is due around the same time as Meghan's. She is also a bump-hugger and as a hard-working doctor is not doing it to attract publicity or attention!
Her bump is pretty prominent now!
It's an acquired habit, inevitably short-term and absolutely harmless so why the fuss?
