And I agree with everything you typed! With us, you can add cat fur into the mix!! Even the professional carpet cleaners couldn't believe how many times they had to go over the carpets to remove it - I'm sure they thought that we never vacuumed!

PS Pedants, please excuse my sentences starting with 'And', I'm having a bad week and a little rebellion goes a long way to cheer me up!

Yep quite agree about both sock fluff and cat hair although the latter is much easier to get off laminate flooring downstairs.

I found a really great ‘thing’ for getting sock fluff up - and it does cat hair as well. Called CarPet. It’s an orange rubber brick with bobbles on. Just damp it and rub over the fluff. Sheer magic and cheap!

Entirely agree with cat fur problem. Our Dyson clogs up completely with solid grey felt like stuff all bound with cat fur. Its better when we use the Furminator on Baz. He actually loves it but its a scary looking bit of kit with triple blades. Works amazingly well. We fill bin loads of cat fur when using it. NOTE: this is not an advert. Its just a really positive endorsement for a product from a dedicated cat lover.

Jane Yes, we used that on Fluff and she loved it. The amount of fur that it removed was astonishing, but the carpet still managed to remove even more!

Not sock fluff anymore ( got rid of him!) but long hair, mostly mine, also dgd.
I have to clear the brushes on my Dyson every month using scissors and an old toothbrush. Drives me mad ?

Get a Shark vacuum cleaner.

I'm forever telling my husband not to walk around in his socks- put slippers on! . The black/navy fluff is always coming off on to the upstairs carpet. I dont want yo vacuum every day. So I have to manually pick up all the bits. Grrr! He doesnt know what the fuss is.

I also hate short dates and bananas are definitely hard to peel now. So gripe justified Katykrunch.

Did nobody buy a pair of slippers for the sock fluff man? Perfect solution. It works. Well you missed last Christmas, so he will have to wait till his birthday now.

Willow thanks for the tip about CarPet. However, I've tried Googling it, and it's hopeless - all I got was 987 million results about carpets and carpet companies, grrrr. Why don't these manufacturers consider us Googlers when they choose a product name?!
