very easy to donate the wrong carrier bag. My rear seat always has return items and often laundry. I always double check.

Don't you just love getting older

I once took a gift of chocolates to the staff in my local charity shop.
I explained it was in appreciation of their friendly service.
They looked at me as if I plotted to poison them.

On another occasion my Grandmother took her six pairs of highly prized real velvet curtains to the charity shop and all the charity donations to the dry cleaners.
She never got over it.

I tell my family to never assume that I know what I am doing. Everything takes twice as long as I double check where I am going and what I am doing.

The day DS was permanently excluded from school I accidentally threw a carrier bag with his PE kit in the refuse bin which was collected next morning. Not such a big deal as he'd not need it again but it had included a pair of fairly new trainers.

At the theatre this week DD discovered she'd put on my coat as we hurried to leave. Being slower I hadn't got my arms into hers!

My mum and I, (or me and my mum, depending on how it important it is) helped someone who had a seizure in the middle of the shopping centre years ago.
I did first aid, whilst mum found a security guard to help.
Once we got home and unpacked all our shopping, we realised we'd taken the poor woman's stuff as well as our own!

I managed to ‘post’ my DH’s newly bought shorts to the recycling bin instead of his bag of old shirts. The helpline phone number was very helpful though and as the.bin was pretty full they sent a collection van out and I got his shorts back! Phew!

None of my business but I am curious as to why you had a bag full of phone cases.
I’ve only owned 3 mobiles and I’m still using one of them. I didn’t bother having cases for the first 2. My DH has only had one, a fold up one that doesn’t need a case.
Am I missing out?

The coat saga reminds me of the annual Christmas party at the WI I belonged to where all the coats were taken upstairs to then hosts bedroom and left on the bed. As we were a bit late leaving I went to get mine and Mum's only to find a huge black coat in place of hers (she was only 5ft 1 and tiny). She had to go home in it then we had to ring round the next day to find out who had her's - I've still no idea how the lady who'd picked it up had managed to get into it!!
