Goldilocks - with a beard!

We have DD2 and her family coming to stay this weekend so I am about to start the mammoth bed changing ordeal.

DH has been advised to sleep sitting up so has been sleeping in the spare room.....Or so I thought.

The kingsized bed in the spare room is not comfy for sleeping in a raised position because it has a sloping roof which made him 'feel funny and he only managed 3 nights in there.

Next he tried the back bed in the children's room but he could see the landing light under the door - that was 4 nights. After that he slept in the front bed in the children's room.

He likes that one!!

I wouldn't mind but that family were the last to use the beds and they were fresh on for their last visit which was only 2 nights!

And it's Christmas!

Oh Beds!
I have the DGCs coming for the night on Saturday and the boys will be the next to use the single beds at Christmas so no problem there. But DGD will get the double in the other room and I have a cousin coming for two nights next week, (she gets the double) and then DD and SIL will have that bed at Christmas so yet another 2 changes of sheets/duvet covers. With my dodgy shoulder (getting worse again) changing beds is one of my least favourite jobs.

It might not work with small children but why not just leave the bedding there and say - "Hope you don't mind making up your own bed." It would help if they just did their own duvet cover. My thumbs are getting really painful when changing bedding.

If he only slept a few nights in each bed I wouldn’t bother changing the sheets- maybe just pillowcases. But I’m a slut?. If it were non-relatives it would be different, so if any of you come to visit me you’ll get clean sheets.?.

When one lot of grandchildren come, parents like to re-arrange furniture in bedrooms and take all the pillows from other spare beds to make “nests” for the children. Last year, DiL took double mattress from another bed and dragged into their bedroom to put on floor. A few days later, I had to drag it back, as other family members needed a mattress for their bed.
After they leave, I have to try to re-rearrange to put everything back to normal. It’s a bit annoying but we love to see them.?
