Morning Mick, morning All

This is an early start! No idea what the weather is here as it’s still very dark, but I can’t hear any wind or rain.

I’ve always wanted to have a nose inside Buckingham Palace. DH hates cities - especially London - perhaps I should go without him. Have a super day Mick and do let us know what it’s like.

Family gathering for me today to celebrate DGD’s 9th birthday. A shame eldest DD and family can’t make it as they live too far away for a day trip.

Good Morning from Fife. Looks not too bad at the moment here, hope it remains dry. Wakened early so as well up out of my bed and getting on. Meeting friends for breakfast and catch up this morning. Your visit to London sounds great Mick I hope you have a great day. To all who follow, hope Sunday is good for you, enjoy!

Morning everyone.

Still half light but the forecast is rain and wind in Kent.
Going to meet friends for lunch and they will hand back DH whom they have borrowed to do a job for them for a few days. Only trouble is that involves driving M2 and M25. I'm dreading the traffic.

Morning all!

It's still gloomy and wet here on the south coast after torrential rain and winds most of yesterday. Had the CH on and glad of it.

It's our eldest DGD's 17th birthday today and we are out for pizza later, to celebrate with her. She is much the same bubbly, chatty, affectionate girl she has always been and I know we shall have a lovely family gathering.

Enjoy your day everyone - hope it's a good one.

NanKate Sun 23-Sept-18 07:37:42

Morning Mick and All.

Sitting up in bed with two DGSs watching Madagascar, as you do on a very wet morning in Sussex.

I love Carveries Mick enjoy your day.

Off home when the rain abates a bit on the dreaded M25.

Good morning all from a rather damp Essex by the sea. I've woken early with a nasty sinus headache. We came back from a lovely holiday in Corfu on Friday and I think it was the plane journey back that has caused my sinusitis to flare up. Apart from the seemingly endless washing and ironing we have nothing much planned today. A roast later and The Bodyguard this evening. Hope everyone has a good Sunday.

harrigran Sun 23-Sept-18 07:55:32

Good morning, grey and damp here in the NE.
I was lucky enough to visit Buckingham palace, went with DH when he got his OBE, enjoy your visit.
No word from family so probably a quiet day at home today, looking forward to The Bodyguard tonight.

Auntieflo Sun 23-Sept-18 07:58:24

Morning Mick, Annie to come and all GN's. It is raining, and grey here, so an indoors day, after Church and then finishing my book looks good. Can't summon up any enthusiasm for anything else.
Enjoy your trip Mick, I've been twice to Buckingham House, once for a nosy round and once to a garden party.
Nina and NanKate, have a safe journeys and hope that the traffic is kind to you both.
Enjoy your Sunday one and all.

Good Morning from a bright cold CoArmagh , think an extra throw will have to be found or the heating on !

Pittcity Sun 23-Sept-18 08:02:15

Good morning from a cold, wet Colchester. The heating clicked on this morning and it's only just going to reach double figures today. It's been raining solidly for 18 hours and is in for the day. At least the wind has dropped.
Sunday roast and the Bodyguard here too.

MawBroon Sun 23-Sept-18 08:03:34

Good morning all.
Would whoever left the taps running kindly turn them OFF now? ☔️ ☔️ ☔️
Off to London to see the WWI pictures at Tate Britain (closes tomorrow, expect it will be crowded) and had hoped to meet up with DDs and little Flynn at their Farmers Market first but not sure if they’ll want to hang about in this.
Hope you enjoy Buck House Mick, shame about the rain, the gardens were lovely when I saw them a year or two back.
Hope you all have a pleasant day ? ? ?

Marydoll Sun 23-Sept-18 08:06:30

Good morning all from a sunny, but nippy Glasgow. I went out to the bin and it's definitely a cold one here!
I hope you have a lovely day Mick and those socialising with friends and family have an enjoyable time.
A pottering about day for me, perhaps a wee tidy up of the garden, it's still a mess after the building work.
I can sympathise with you Sar, I can't stop coughing, so I may use that as my excuse not to venture out.grin

Good morning all from a dull, wet East Northants. Had the heating on for the first time last night, cozied up watching Strictly. Meeting youngest son for lunch today and looking forward to Bodyguard tonight. Hope the rain doesn't spoil anyone's plans for today - have a good one.

ginny Sun 23-Sept-18 08:17:01

Oh dear, fumble fingers today.
As I was saying, looking forward lunch with all the family at a Himalayan restaurant at lunch time. We are celebrating DGS1 s 16th birtday so, his choice of venue.
Just pottering around until then.
Happy Sunday all.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Grey and chilly but dry in South Yorkshire. We are breakfasted and ready to move out to take GS to junior football in half an hour. Fortunately the ground is just down the road from us, so no mystery tours this morning. A late full English on return, I think. Have a good day, folks.

kittylester Sun 23-Sept-18 08:30:05

Morning all from a damp north Leicestershire.

DS2 and family for lunch today and then waiting for the Bodyguard!

Good luck on the M25 all you intrepid travellers.

DoraMarr Sun 23-Sept-18 08:33:18

Good morning everyone! Rainy and cold here in Birmingham, so will need waterproofs for my walk in the park and coffee with friends. Must sort out my balcony pots today- they are looking decidedly sad. Aldi have some little box plants, and I was tempted to buy lots of them to make a sort of hedge, but won’t they need a lot of looking after?

annep Sun 23-Sept-18 08:33:29

Good morning from Co Antrim. Cool but sunny.?
Enjoy your trip Mick. Hope you feel better soon Sar.
Farewell lunch for us with best friends before they depart for 3 week trip to South Carolina to visit their daughter and partner.
Have a nice day everyone.
Archers this morning then Vanity Fair for us this evening.

Anniebach Sun 23-Sept-18 08:37:29

Judthepud2 Sun 23-Sept-18 09:21:35

Good morning everyone from Co. Down. I'm back on GN after a break Trump and Brexit storming on Twitter. grin A lovely sunny autumn morning here. A quiet day today with nothing planned, just a little walk with dog to the beach to see if I can get rid of post viral cobwebs.

Are you ok gillybob? You sound like you need a gentle hug.

cornergran Sun 23-Sept-18 09:38:24

Morning Mick, morning All. A late one for me been sleeping oh so much. Overcast but not actually raining at the moment in our corner of Somerset. Not a thing planned here today, quiet one ahead. Sorry you’re struggling gilly. Take care everyone.

silverlining48 Sun 23-Sept-18 09:52:39

Hasn’t stopped raining here in the not so sunny south east, so another day indoors. Have a nice day all.
