Relaxing, easy to watch films

Sometimes it is so nice just to watch a bit of nonsense. I have just watched The Time of Their Lives, with Pauline Collins and Jackie Collins. It did not get very good reviews, someone referred to it as ‘ A poor man’s Shirley Valentine’ but it was much funnier and not to be taken at all seriously. I must be easy to please, because I loved it.

Does anyone have an escapist recommendations?

I watched a light romantic comedy on Netflix called "Home Again" with Michael Sheen, Reese Witherspoon and Candice Bergen amongst others (the rest were young cast members I don't know).

The Guardian review says it is "silly but satisfying" smile

Its nice to chill out with nonsense sometimes and indeed needed at times!
I don't watch escapist films much (unless I am ill in bed and then its Billy Elliot, My best Friends Wedding and Brief Encounter)
We usually escape with iplayer series. We have recently discovered Upstart Crow on iplayer which is very funny if you like Shakespeare. We also watched Raised By Wolves which was hilarious ( I think). And I am rewatching my boxset ofButterflies with Wendy Craig.
