Good Morning Everyone,
Its looking grey and dull , having rained in the night, but its getting autumnal.
I did venture out yesterday to Buckingham and Bicester on the buses..
Had my lunch in Buckingham a USA breakfast, which consisted of bacon and poach eggs plus pancakes with maple syrup, in a Turkish restaurant there, my regular café was not open having been for warned about it being closed yesterday for a break, got the feeling others who also used my regular café also went to this Turkish place as well.

Morning Mick and everyone. That sounds an interesting breakfast Mick. I like French toast with bacon and maple syrup as an occasional treat.

We are forecast heavy rain from 11am here on the south coast with strong winds. A day to hunker down then. I don't like Sundays at the best of times so today will be well down the list of favourite days!

Hope the day is kind to us all.

Food morning allxx

Was woken up at 6.30 by GC!!!

It is very cloudy here in SE Essex, I shall snuggle down and watch CBeebies with GC and a nice cup of tea. Wishing you all a lovely Sunday.

Off to see daughter later x

Morning Mick, Morning All. Heavy sky over our corner of Somerset. We also expect rain, lots of it apparently. Filing for me today, I will overcome the admin mountain. Mr C is likely to try to be invisible as I won’t be at my happiest until it’s done. Hope Sunday is kind to everyone.

kittylester Sun 26-Aug-18 07:22:16

Morning all.

North Leicestershire is slightly overcast and we are promised the rain later. We have a pile of towels under the leak in the hall in case DH's efforts were in vain!

Off to the big Blue and yellow furniture store today - wish us luck!

I hope you find your daughter is doing well grannygravy.

I'm hankering after your bacon and maple syrup Mick.

Morning everyone, yes we have rain and big black clouds too in NE Fife. USA breakfast sounds so yummy have to say. Got some household chores to do this morning then having DGS for a while to let DD have her feet up for a couple of hours and let her and bump relax.Whatever the weather hope you all have have a good day.

NfkDumpling Sun 26-Aug-18 07:36:45

Morning All

High cloud on a grey, still, autumnal morning here in Norfolk. The rain is forecast to reach us later on today though. Hopefully cleaning the gutters around the garden room roof will stop the water getting in again as it did in the last cloud burst last week.

Not a lot planned for today, we’ll stay in avoid the bank holiday crowds.

ginny Sun 26-Aug-18 07:50:45

Good Morning.
Dull here but I’ve had a nice cup of tea with DGS in his caravan whilst playing racing cars.
Off to visit a National Trust property today and hope we don’t all get too wet.

Marydoll Sun 26-Aug-18 07:53:04

Good morning Mick and all. Your breakfast sounds tasty Mick, shame about your restaurant being closed.
It's bucketing down here in Glasgow☔.
I have to venture out this morning, when I'd rather be curled up with papers.
Grannygravy, I'm sure you will be anxious about your daughter, I hope she feels a bit better today.
All those with grandchildren in situ today, enjoy. We are having a well earned rest today to prepare for the onslaught tomorrow.
Kitty, I hope the rain isn't too heavy, considering your leaky roof.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

Good morning Mick and everyone, rain coming to Lancashire today too so we will be staying home. Dgs is here and this morning we are going to ice the carrot cake we made together yesterday. His mum will join us for lunch and he'll be delighted with his cake. Little things smile.
Hope the operation has gone well for your daughter grannygravy flowers.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Going to be a wet one in South Yorkshire today so we won’t be going far. Mick pancakes with bacon and maple syrup is GS‘s favourite breakfast! Roast pork for lunch today with DD et al. Have a good day folks.

Auntieflo Sun 26-Aug-18 08:03:32

Good morning Mick , Annie to come, and all here already. I also quite fancy Mick's breakfast, sounds lovely, especially as my tummy is grumbling-hungry. It's a bit grey here and I think we are expecting rain, but it is so nice to see things in the garden beginning to recover, especially the hydrangeas that I thought were a goner. Off to church later and then maybe a potter to a garden centre. Kitty I have yet to visit the blue and yellow store that opened not too far from us, but can't yet face the trek. DD has promised to take me soon . Have a lovely day one and all.

`Morning from Wales under deluge!!!!
Whilst heaving down I could not help but think of your roof Kitty........hopefully it has been repaired or you do not get this heavy rain!!

I think this may well see an early exodus home! Not much fun camping!

Hopes for a better day after an enforced day of rest following the activity on Friday.
Much to do.............in my over active mind.

Love the sound of your breakfast Mick............no chance of such treats here in the Countryside.

Hope you all have a good day despite the weather.

aggie Sun 26-Aug-18 08:13:45

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. Wore my cardi most of yesterday. Looks like it's going to be a permanent fixture.....
Cleaning and ironing today. Need to pop to the shops too before the rain sets in.

MawBroon Sun 26-Aug-18 08:24:24

Good morning all, a bit nippy here and very grey and overcast.
Looking forward to seeing DD2, SIL and Flynn later who will be staying overnight before we all go to Birmingham tomorrow for DGD’s 4 th birthday.
Recovered from the debacle of my hair (don’t ask) just need to see what DD1 would like me to bring for a pud.
Hope nobody has a barbecue planned ☔️ but wishing you a pleasant day whatever you are doing.

NanKate Sun 26-Aug-18 08:25:24

Morning Mick and All.

I’m rather a latecomer today. That breakfast sounds mega Mick.

Heavy rain due here today in South Bucks.

Roast chicken for us today. DH has just said that whilst he is doing DIY he has put a lot of things on top of the freezer. So I can’t get in to get the Aunt Bessie’s roast potatoes out ?

Looking forward to watching part 1 of Bodyguard tonight with Keeley Hawes in it. ?

Marthjolly1 Sun 26-Aug-18 08:25:58

Good morning everyone. A damp start here too, I can just see a faint outline of the hills today as they are shrouded by cloud. Rain forecast all day so not looking forward to hitching up the caravan. Will put the awning up tomorrow!
Have a good Sunday whatever you do.

ninathenana Sun 26-Aug-18 08:29:42

Morning all.

Poured with rain 15mins from here yesterday whilst we had blue sky. Isn't nature wonderful.
Dull at the moment, don't know if rain is forecast.
DGCx2 arrive with DD this afternoon, they are here all week. Hope it stays dry, they want to camp in the garden one night.

harrigran Sun 26-Aug-18 08:35:40

Good morning from an overcast NE.
A day of wrapping GC's birthday gifts and hiding them away as eldest will be coming to stay tomorrow.
All family home from holiday, each and everyone has had delays because of road closures due to accidents, DH and I stay home on bank holidays.

Anniebach Sun 26-Aug-18 08:43:46

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

gillybob Sun 26-Aug-18 09:05:47

A late good morning from a very dull NE coast, rain forecast for much of the day, so glad I got all my washing done and dried yesterday.

A lot of packing and sorting to do today as we are taking the 3 oldest grandchildren away caravanning in Scarborough for a few days. Lots of outdoor activities planned and I’m exhausted thinking about it.

Have a good Sunday everyone.
