Resin bonded bridge (Maryland bridge)

I’m pretty sure this is what my daughter, now 47, had fitted as a teenager. It was to replace a missing front tooth that was damaged In childhood. All these years later it’s still going strong and has never caused her any problems at all. In fact she commented recently that she dreads anything happening to it as she fears she would not be offered anything as good as a replacement. I'd never heard of it and had to google it, apparently they don't last as long as a conventional bridge but nor are they as invasive to other teeth to have fitted. So I can see why you're tempted, the one thing that put me off a bridge was having perfectly good teeth either side massively reduced in size. In the end we compromised and my bridge is a cantilever bridge only attached to the canine tooth. It's surviving really well after a couple of decades.
