Morning Mick and everyone.

Horrendous day weather wise in Kent yesterday, roads flooded etc. Blue sky and sunshine this morning although much cooler. Bits and bobs to do today.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning Mick, Nina and everbody!

The sun is back out here on the south coast after a day of torrential rain, wind and chilly tempeatures developed yesterday.

Off to the theatre to see "Me and My Girl" at Chichester Festival Theatre with DD and DGD this afternoon and out for tea afterwords with the rest of the family. This is my treat for my end of August birthday.

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

Morning Mick and Nina.

Sunny but chilly. Do I feel Autumn in the air ? ?

Well we just about survived 5 fun days with our 2 DGs we went out every day to places they had already been to but wanted to return and for the first time to an Open Air Museum. They ate every meal and more and loved having CHIPS twice. We were on on our knees by the time of their departure but were so pleased we had managed it and sad as the youngest was sobbing as he left. Please send up oxygen, we are the house with the curtains drawn whilst I recover in a darkened room.

Happy days folks.

That sounds a good day out Gaga.

Good morning, bright start to the day here in the NE.
We had showers last night which left it cool overnight.
Entire family is on holiday now so DH and I will do just whatever we like ??

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Sunny but definitely cooler in South Yorkshire. We had rain yesterday but managed to get out and pick blackberries in the late afternoon. My GS and his maid and butler? are back from the holiday we shared with them so I can breathe a sigh of relief. It’s a long drive. We are off to order the fixtures and fittings for our downstairs cloakroom this morning, then I have a curry to make for tomorrow. Have a nice, restful weekend, NanKate!

Good morning from a bright but cool N. Bucks.
DD3 and SIL are off to a wedding today so we have DGS2 coming for a sleepover.
Happy Saturday all.

Good morning Mick, and all. Cool here in Glasgow this morning,I woke up feeling cold .
Chilling out today, after a stressful day with DGD yesterday. ( Not her fault). We came back from the supermarket to find the floors were up and no electricity.?. I eventually sent DH and DGD to my sister in law's, as my granddaughter was determined to check on how the electricians were doing. I can't believe how much is required to be done, due to knew building regulations. Does that mean our house was unsafe before? ?
I too am recovering in a darkened room, Kate. ? ?
Enjoy your Saturday everyone.

Marydoll Sat 11-Aug-18 07:30:52

NEW regulations, not knew.

Brunette10 Sat 11-Aug-18 07:31:50

Good Morning to everyone. Its sunny here today in NE Fife but cooler. It's still nice to see the sun though. Chores to catch up on today and DD and DGS will be here no doubt to catch up on chat. Looking forward to a good day. Enjoy your day everyone.

Brunette10 Sat 11-Aug-18 07:34:39

Marydoll I feel for you. Regulations change all the time I suppose and they will have to ensure that everything is done to the new specification. It's a pain but also completely necessary fo safety. You know what H &S are like these days. Just try and chill. It'l be worth it in the end.

kittylester Sat 11-Aug-18 07:41:43

Morning all from a bright north Leicestershire.

Enjoy your recovery Kate and a stress free (comparatively) day marydoll.

We are awaiting the arrival of DD2 and her daughters. I think we are ready!!

Bon jour all, on holiday in France, weather has been poor every day but one, very grateful we have uk tv and WiFi to occupy us. Having trouble finding places to visit as we hadn’t packed for this weather. Trying to feel jolly....tum te ta tra la la. Home in a few days.....

Panache Sat 11-Aug-18 07:52:57

Good Morning on this, yet another weekend and another pleasant one in the offing......although certainly a tinge of autumn in the morning air, plus those oak leaves are falling already.

Like the sound of your day out Gagagran.....I have family living on the outskirts of Chichester.

Sorry to be a misery Marydoll......but in building works we have always found it gets considerably worse before turning the corner,a sigh of relief and wow!! you have a masterpiece........well worth the angst!

A day at home for me it seems.

Happy weekend to you all.

Auntieflo Sat 11-Aug-18 07:59:39

Morning Michael, Annie and all. Beautiful clear and sunny day, at the moment. Yesterday my two loads of washing got an extra couple of rinses, due to the torrential downpour, immediately after I had hung it all out, but it did dry, eventually.
Coffee with friends this morning and collection of prescriptions. Also make sure that the cupboards are stocked.
We had an awful shock yesterday. My brother and sister-in-law, both ended up in hospital, very poorly. They are responding to treatment, but not out of the woods yet.
Lots of prayers flying hither and yon.

Marydoll Sat 11-Aug-18 08:28:21

Thank you Panache for your words of encouragement. grin.
I think I'm quite naïve.smile. It's twenty five years since our house was built, so times must have changed!
Brunette, I know it will make my life so much easier and safer, no more falling getting out of the bath.
Kitty, I do hope to chill today and as much as I love my children and am glad to see them, they are all busy today. grin
Auntieflo, prayers for your brother and sister in law.

Anniebach Sat 11-Aug-18 08:43:53

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

AuntyFlo, my prayers are with your brother and sister in law. X Marydoll, keep saying ‘this too will pass X

I will try to reverse Bluebird out of the hall again today, scooter too big hall to small. How was I to know when I read the dimensions of the scooter width meant wheel to wheel not arm to arm .

Good morning all. Having a long (so far very wet) weekend in the Scottish Borders . Typical of our luck DS said it was dry at home, just over an hour down the road . Still at least I’m off work until Tuesday .

Enjoy your Saturday everyone .

Looks like your off nightclubbing Harri grin

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Sun turned to rain yesterday afternoon but rain isn't forecast again until tonight.
No weekend plans.....
