Hot, hot, hot AGAIN in the south east. I do envy our northern GN members and their cooler weather. What is it like with you Marydoll today ?

Morning All

Got up prepared to do early ironing and I’m still sat here reading the iPad! There’s high cloud at present but it’s still hot and muggy.

We collected our caravan from the caravan hospital yesterday as it needed a couple of repairs and the car said the outside temperature was 31C. It dropped to 24 when we got to the storage place on the coast. We’re heading to Cromer this evening for a Queen/ABBA picnic concert so it should be cooler there. Will take a cardi.

Well Kate, it's breezy and cool here, I will need a light sweater when I go out this morning. You are welcome to swap some of your heatwave for our rain.?
I've been up since the crack of dawn, itching all over.?
I wonder if it's the fabric conditioner.
The plasterer is coming this morning, no respite , nor lie in for us. ☹️

Another hot day in prospect here on the south coast but it's not humid so more bearable. I look forward to cooler days ahead!

Football season starts today and DH is off to support "his team" this afternoon. I shall wrap his birthday presents in his absence, ready for tomorrow. (New chinos, 2 polo shirts and a case of craft beers in case you ask!)

Hope the day is a good one for us all.

Eating breakfast in the garden with just the dogs and birds for company. Looks like another ☀️day in prospect.
Helping DD2 to prepare her caravan for travelling today. This evening we are going to a new local open air theatre for its first performance.

Good Morning all, it is the start of what promises to be another scorcher here in Letchworth Garden City. Early morning chores done, feeding and putting out water for the wild birds, watering pots and the greenhouse. Walking to town to a few bits then off to play bowls this afternoon. Have a lovely day everyone. NfkDumpling I too have a pile of ironing that i could be doing but am here on GN

Morning everyone. Been awake since three so I am sitting with my coffee in the garden. I have watered and fed the pots, deadheaded, changed a bed and been to the supermarket so far!

Liking the sounds of caravan activities which bring back a host of lovely memories of times passed.

Not much on our agenda,some bits and pieces requires a spot of morning shopping.

Good Morning everyone, rather cooler here today in NE Fife. Felt like putting heating on when we got up but refrained. Suppose this is the downward turn for us in Scotland. Have full on day with DD and DGS but looking forward to it. Hope you all have a very pleasant day.

Morning all from a sticky North Leicestershire. I had an awful night's sleep - it was sticky and the people next door had a barbecue which seemed to go one for far too long to be healthy for a group of elite sports people.

Kent has again today. I'm up before H this morning which is unusual. Downside being I now have to wait for him to cook breckie yes I could do it but he enjoys it, honestly !

Good morning all you lovely people x. My younger daughter is home after a two week holiday,she phones me every day so haven’t spoken to her for two weeks , so i will have a long chat today.

Good morning, mild but overcast here in the NE.
It rained most of yesterday so we had lunch out, our favourite restaurant has an offer on for August three course lunch and a glass of wine for £17.99, too good to miss.
Catch up with housework today before we collect GD tomorrow.

The sun is just peeping through the clouds here on the NE coast . It’s forecast to be a warm and pleasant day after all the rain we had yesterday.

I love the feeling of waking up and remembering that it’s Saturday and there’s no work. A few odd jobs to go this morning then a bit of food shopping and a little garden tidy up later if it stays nice.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. I love a good flea market, Mick, and your maps sound interesting. Grey start seems to be the norm here in Cornwall but every day has been glorious so far. Yesterday we walked our legs off at Fowey and Heligan so today will be a relaxing day - I hope!!

Morning All. Cloud just disappearing over our corner of Somerset. Feels fresher. If we can stir will walk the beach before it gets busy, otherwise feet up in the garden. It’s been a busy week and a rest is called for.

Morning Mick, Annie and all. Such a hot and sticky night, fan on all the time, but still uncomfortable.( I have had enough now, thanks). Not a lot to do today, but after a very lazy day yesterday, shopping has to be done. Coffee first though and a catch up with friends. Enjoy your weekend all GN.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Just surfacing after sleeping badly in the heat. I wear earplugs when the windows are open but it doesn't help when DH decides he can't sleep so he'll put his iPad on. He doesn't believe that it's light wakes me up....
