Sometimes on a warm night when I can't sleep I walk around the garden in the moonlight and it is a glorious feeling Phoenix and nobody has ever noticed. People only see what they expect to see! ........... We hope!

H and I used to sometimes get up and go for a walk along the shore line at 1-2am if it was too hot to sleep, we did wear a little more than a bathrobe though.

Sorry phoenix, at first glance I thought the title of your OP was about a different type of wind! I was about to offer commiserations and recommend these as being effective!

Oh yes, it is so lovely and cool for the first time in 2 months, and we had a little rain last night.

I let the cats out at 5am and had a short wander au naturelle. Delicious breeze.

We are well out in the sticks so if a passing trespasser sees too much and is scarred for life, he has only himself to blame.

DH had an urge last night to strip off and go out into the garden in the rain, but he decided in the end that it was probably coming down a bit too heavily!

I was once woke up during the night and looked out my window to find my next door but one neighbour dancing around little nightlights in the garden (her garden) in her night attire...after a few s...lol it was quite common

,,also at certain times of the year they would (apparently) both run (naked) to the tree in the middle of the field and back again....just before they moved from the house the other year they repeated this ..adventure one last time as I dont think they may get away with it where they have moved to...(a mobile home site in the Ribble Valley ) lol LOL. they were good nighbours but I must admit I never actualy witnessed the deed lol

I was friends with a couple who liked to strip naked and drive home from a night out, then run inside their house before anyone saw them.
It was quite erotic, apparently.

Nice to have it cooler, but the wind brought down a huge branch from an ash tree on farmland behind my garden. It has flattened the fence and my runner beans. Farmer will secure his cattle and fix asap. I have asked him to check remainder of tree as bits keep falling off and I don't want the whole thing filling my garden, especially if I or my cats are underneath!

My hollyhocks have all broken in half.

Have been nurturing garden through the heatwave, it's now being blown to pieces, my hanging baskets are windswept, blooms have been destroyed by rain and wind over the last 20 hours.

I'm sitting here with a cool breeze lifting the curtains and blowing over my face. What I would have given for this lovely sensation over the past weeks. On Friday I really thought I was going to have some sort of heatstroke attack, in spite of fans, cold flannels etc. but slowly the temperature dropped and then the rain came. I have never been so grateful for rain...or perhaps I was in 1976!
