Another hot day in prospect and still no sign of any rain. It last rained here on the south coast on 31 May.

DD is calling in with the remnants from her fridge today, for us to eat up, as they are off to Indonesia on holiday tomorrow. Don't envy them - two long flights with an 8 hour layover between. DGS (13) will be tired, grumpy and teenager-ish!

High cloud again here in the north of Norfolk. It burnt off quite quickly yesterday so we’re expecting the same today. No rain since the beginning of June and I’m getting used to wandering out of the door to walk into town without a thought for a coat or brolly. Just like being on holiday in the south of France!

Yes yet another hot day in prospect in South Bucks.

Taking things quietly today as tomorrow we are going into London when the forecasters say it will be 31 degrees ? to say goodbye to an old friend who is moving with her DH to live in Italy. I’m dreading the heat on the hot pavements and the underground, may just say s*d it and take taxis but it is something I must do.

Please don't complain about the ☀️, we would be glad to share it. ?
Our wee grandaughter stayed overnight and for the first time, we dispensed with the cot bed. The last time she stayed, she demonstrated how to escape from it.
As she decided to sleep horizontally, I kept falling out of the bed?. She slept all night, but I'm sleeping on my feet.
A day with the papers, I think.

Morning everyone. Bit cloudy here in NE Fife today, it may brighten up later though. Off to help SIL lay down a new floor for new baby's room due in October. Well I say we I mean DH DD, DGS and I will be out and about. Have a great day everyone.

Morning Mick, Morning All. Very warm and feels humid in our corner of Somerset. Off to help a poorly friend with some practical tasks that are too much for her. She tells us it’s even warmer in her area. May need use of her shower . Hope Sunday is kind to everyone.

Good morning from a hot and overcast Colchester. The sun was out earlier but has now disappeared into a grey sky. Still no rain and a hot week forecast.
Walking Netball match this morning so I am slapping on the suncream and packing iced drinks and flannel. Home by noon for a cold shower and a lie down.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. A grey start in South Yorkshire but forecast to be hot later and tommorrow even worse! DD and her menfolk will be here later for lunch but I don’t intend to do a lot today. Mary I remember sleeping with a little windmill too. Never in one position for two minutes! It's warm but cloudy in North Leicestershire and there are a few weedy spots of rain on the window.

Not much in prospect today just pootling and faffing until it's time for DH to do a barbecue.

It seems we have had our "dollop" of rain which has only refreshed a little,now talk of yet another heatwave.......though by reading through some of you have had one continuous one!

Our visitors are extremely enjoying it and our beaches are full,with all those owning leisure facilities smiling all the way to the bank!

Would love a repeat of last Sunday`s treat but I think my body will have the last word on that.

Wishing you all a painfree and carefree day enjoying the ......commiserations for those missing out,although it seems this warmth is fairly widespread.

Good morning. Beautiful sunny morning in S. Devon. We are packing up to travel home after a super week with our friends. Wish we could just snap our fingers and be there.

Morning all , dull muggy heavy weather here . Bed stripped , washing machine churning away . It was so warm last night to try and sleep I think I must have been doing the Gran version of Maryann s grandchild !

Pleasant here at the moment, but due to get hot again when the sun breaks through.
Lazy day ahead, I think.

Its warm but a bit grey and cloudy here in Letchworth.

I am off to Knebworth House for a food festival in an hour or so and if the weather stays like this i will love it.

It is just right for strolling around and enjoying the day.

Greyduster, I love that term, "windmill", that sums her up to a 'T'.
She has now left the premises and papa and I are lying down in a dark room.
