Good Morning Mick and all who follow

It's hazy here on the south coast but the sun is coming up and the breeze of recent days seems to have gone. I reckon it may be more humid today.

Just off to the supermarket on our weekly trip Bit later than usual as DH was later up than normal.

Enjoy the day folks!

MawBroon Thu 05-Jul-18 06:41:43

Good morning Mick, Gagagran and all to come. ?
Goodness, gaga what time does your supermarket open?
I was feeling smug hanging the washing out at 6 , but retreated to bed with a mug of tea to read the (online) paper.
I wish I could feel the urge to get up (and stay up) early but I don’t have anything particular to do so back to bed!
Wishing you all a pleasant day!

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Another scorcher in prospect today. I had a quiet day in planned but it seems we are going to a cricket tournament in which our GS is playing this morning, so I shall be sitting in the sun, curling at the corners like a British Rail sandwich, for four hours! Who said being a grandparent was fun? ME!!!! YAY!!???. Have a good day folks!

Marydoll Thu 05-Jul-18 06:56:31

Good morning all, another sunny day again, but thankfully there is a breeze.
Off to another funeral this morning, my friend's mum. We are still really tired after yesterday's funeral.
My feet are so swollen and painful, I can't get any shoes on. It's a tad ironic that a shoeaholic ?????? can't find anything to wear.?
The builders and the skip are due to arrive, just as we are due to leave. It's perhaps a good thing, that I won't be here to see my garden being destroyed.
Have a good day all.

Morning All

Another wonderful hot sunny morning here in the north of Norfolk. Although a hot summer usually follows a really cold winter, this is incredible!

I went round with the hose pipe yesterday and did a bit of selective watering. Just enough to keep the needy plants going. I shall tempt fate and clean some windows this morning.

It’s my six week appointment with the consultant (my hero) this afternoon to be signed off - and hopefully he’ll say I can drive again.

kittylester Thu 05-Jul-18 07:07:21

Morning all.

North Leicestershire is quite muggy this morning and I'm still feeling poorly.

Hope you find some shoes, marydoll and that the builders aren't too destructive. Another funeral is not good. sad

Enjoy the cricket gd - one of the more civilised sports to watch if the weather is ok.

Good morning.
The sun has emerged from the thin cloud and yesterday’s breeze has disappeared. Looks like another lovely day.
Going to a glass fusing workshop this morning and sewing group this evening.

Pittcity Thu 05-Jul-18 07:30:26

Good morning from sunny Colchester. The rain has disappeared from today's forecast, it rained on Wimbledon last night! So another hot one here as the breeze has dropped too.
Haircut this morning.

Yiayia4 Thu 05-Jul-18 07:37:37

Morning all,hot and sunny already in Surrey, not much planned today a bit of shopping maybe.Have a good day everyone.

annep Thu 05-Jul-18 07:43:22

Good morning? lovely in Newcastle county Down. Have a nice day everyone.

Rufus2 Thu 05-Jul-18 07:46:00

I shall tempt fate and clean some windows this morning.

Steady on Nfk! We've only just finished cleaning our windows at the back and now you're off again; at the front this time I suppose? I can't/won't keep up. sad
You must like singing George's "cleaning windows" theme. smile
If you seriously want rain, try cleaning the car or start some out-door painting. Worked for me every time. grin

Good Morning to you all.

The rather mixed day yesterday with intermittant grey and sunshine still proved to hot for my visiting with my poor legs suffering.

However though the viewing was a complete disaster the craft shops and the florals in this little Market town made up for it.

Another funeral *Marydoll" so sorry, also for your painful feet (I think I have come out in sympathy with you!)

Hope you will feel better as the day progresses Kitty.......but perhaps you just need this enforced rest.

Good luck with your appointment. Nfkd

Hoping for some rain but it looks as though sun still rules the day! Have a pleasant one folks.

NanKate Thu 05-Jul-18 07:50:53

Good morning Mick and All.

Another sunny day in South Bucks.

A lovely 93 year old friend of mine is visiting for coffee this morning so I must get up, do a little light dusting ? and set the tea tray out.

Have a good day folks

Auntieflo Thu 05-Jul-18 07:59:35

Good morning Mick and all. Beautiful start to the day here. Much cooler last night, thank heavens. Coffee with a friend this morning, then a mooch round the craft shop. Maybe start a new project.
Panache, sorry to hear the viewing was disastrous. better luck next time
Good luck to all those with hospital appointments and enjoy your day all who meet here.

lemongrove Thu 05-Jul-18 08:14:28

Another sunny morning here, am getting used to the relentless sunshine now, and in fact enjoy the mornings up to about 11 a.m. ( after that, not so much.)
Went for an early morning walk as it’s the only time to do that.
DD rang to say last night, they had a downpour where she is
So she didn’t need to water the garden pots, lucky her!
Have a good day and stay cool.smile

lemongrove Thu 05-Jul-18 08:16:25

Nan haha, a little light dusting, I should really do some heavy duty dusting involving a large can of Mr Sheen and about ten dusters.grin

Brunette10 Thu 05-Jul-18 08:17:31

Morning everyone, back to normal timings today. Weather great here in North East Fife and hopefully will have a wonderful day. Feeling annoyed with myself today though, lost my phone yesterday and I'm so cross with myself for being so careless. I know it's just a phone and can be replaced but I am always such careful person. Clearly, I'm not!!! Have a good day everyone.

Brunette10 Thu 05-Jul-18 08:20:08

Not so good about anther funeral Marydoll and yesterday would tire you out, it is distressing plus your traffic conditions. Good builders are here and getting on though, I'm sure whatever you are doing it will be worth in it in the end. Don't stress too much!

cornergran Thu 05-Jul-18 08:28:42

Morning All. Still cloud over our corner of Somerset. We had a couple of hours rain yesterday, freshened things but no real help for the garden. Some serious dusting then a meeting to go to. Take care everyone, especially poorly people.

Anniebach Thu 05-Jul-18 08:37:06

Good morning all x

ninathenana Thu 05-Jul-18 08:43:54

Morning all.

Thin layer of cloud over Kent and a haze over the marsh. I'm sure we will see the sun later.
kitty I hope that bug leaves the Lester house very soon. I hope all those with aches and pains see some improvement. Marydoll flowers
Maw do you not have 24hr supermarkets where you are ? We have two.

NanKate Thu 05-Jul-18 08:51:07

Sorry you are still unwell Kitty obviously Dr Kildare, who I sent round to you yesterday, did not do the trick. Maybe a Vicks vapour rub from Rufus Sewell might help ?

MawBroon Thu 05-Jul-18 09:22:31

Nina you know I have no idea!
I think Waitrose shuts around 10 pm and presumably opens at sparrow fart, but being of an inactive disposition (me and Hattie both) I have never put it to the test! blush

annodomini Thu 05-Jul-18 09:43:02

Good morning all. Maw, Waitrose down the road from me closes at 8pm. There are several 24-hour Tescos, but the only time I ever had to use one in the small hours was when I had excruciating toothache and needed to buy a strong painkiller at 2am. Brunette, I 'lost' my phone yesterday. It eventually turned up in the spare room, the last place I looked. The worst 'loss' was once when I realised my phone was rotating merrily in the washing machine. hmm
