The NHS came into being 70 years ago on 5th July 1948.
I, however, came into the world 70 years ago on 1st July 1948 meaning my dad had to pay for my birth. He was not happy about this but considering that I was born on the day I was due I feel he was more to blame than me! 
H's parents just missed out too.Someone needs to go back to Junior School himself.
