I cleared out my under-sink cupboard his morning to get to the stopcock. I was embarrassed to find amongst all the cleaning products at the back, which I rarely use, 13 bottles of Fairy Liquid and at least 30 washing up sponges! I always make sure I don't run out of anything but this is ridiculous. Does anyone else stock-pile and forget how many they have?

Ha ha, yes, waiting in for a delivery this morning, so decided to clean a few cupboards out...amazing what you forgot you’d brought, don’t need to buy ant crisps for a few weeks....

Wow, I'm very impressed that your under-sink cupboard is big enough to hold all that!

I am about to get my DH in to read your posting Shysal.......I always replaced anything that was in use so thereby not running out............whilst now he is in charge he overbuys and yes,I have to close my eyes to the amount of stock he stores!!!

One could think we were opening a mini market!!!

Though I think by your reckoning you win, hands down!!!

lol, I always have a spare but 13! I couldn't get that many in my cupboard.
I do tend to stock up too many tins of tomatoes/beans etc.

Oh yes. Clearing out for a house move a few years ago I discovered I have enough shampoo and shower gel to last both of us if we live to be 150! We need never buy another bottle. All stockpiled in sales or BOGOF offers. (Do these things have 'use by' dates I wonder? hmm Must check.)

My husbands weekend job is to thoroughly clean bathrooms and toilets so he is in charge of the cleaning "stuff" he buys when shopping . Every so often I have a sort out in the cupboard he stores this "stuff" in .
Normally I find numerous spray bottles that have been started and not finished and so many cloths that he takes from the kitchen and then I buy replacement cloths as of course once used in the bathrooms and toilets they cannot be taken and used in the kitchen ..yuk! but I keep my mouth shut or I might end up doing the job myself.

nope! not the storage space. But anyway I actually like running out and having to shop. I don't know why.?

I'm not so guilty of this now I live in a smaller house with less storage space but, when I was clearing the old house for our move, I was amazed at the stockpiles I found. Cleaning products, washing up sponges, bath products, tea balls (???), greaseproof paper, cling film blush .... I gave much of it away and am determined it won't happen again.

Shysal... You have been under my sink !!!

Also, our old kitchen cupboards and worktop were fitted into our garage, perfect for overflow storage and tins/dry goods. Soap powder, fairy liquid, bleach, hairsprays, plant food, more plant food. Tissues, toilet paper, more toilet paper. Shampoos, conditioners, cereals, pastas...lots of dry goods.

Then of course there's the old vacuum, old kettke, old toaster, saucepans, slow cooker, actifryer,
