Thank you all. It did help me cope with the day, my younger daughter was wonderful and my grandchildren but I missed the laughter my girl always brought to the day, my son in law who isn't did this and I laughed

My son and his wife are in the process of separating and he is moving out of the family home this week. However, it's an amicable separation and my DiL, whom I regard as a good friend, sent me a MD card with a very nice letter. She felt there should be a niche in the market for MiL cards!
