I would just like to share with you a funny story about something that we did in WI this month...for anyone who think that the WI is old fashioned and boring, ours most certainly isn't!
Our monthly newsletter lets us know what we will be doing at the next meeting and in January it read "February's meeting will be a lesson in life model sketching...... anyone of a nervous disposition might want to give this one a miss" there was a huge 
at the end!
So we all turn up as usual. Ours is a very mixed age group of between late 20's, 30's up to 70+
The chairs were set out in a semi circle with a raised platform in the middle, a chair and a plastic crate. We were each handed a board, some plain paper and a set of pencils, rubber, sharpener etc.
Next an experienced artist gave us some instructions on how to begin, how to get the measurements right, how to check distance, how to hold our pencils, checking the light and shade etc. (all going very well). He then set up his easel at the side and the lights were adjusted to point to the raised platform.
Next...... in walks a completely stark naked man (in all his glory). He walks across the room and plonks himself down on the seat..... lots of gasps and tittering followed and several people moved seats (some to get away from the view and some to get a better view). The final straw came when the artist walked over to the stage and pulled the crate towards him and he put one leg up ! IT He, was right in my eye line ! 
I have never laughed so much in ages and i got a pat on my shoulder form the artist who said my drawing was really good. 
When I took it home, DH took a look at it and said "Oh, is that it? I really have nothing at all to worry about!"
