Stupid accident!

Similar story. My DD borrowed my Dyson vacuum cleaner to give the carpets in her rented farmhouse a good clean. My SiL used it to clean out his car, before returning it to me. Unfortunately, he forgot that it was behind the car, and ran it over.

Yes! Cut Mr. Finn’s hair this morning. The electric clippers were playing up, but eventually got them to work. Sadly, the setting had accidentally slipped.
He now has a bald area on the back of his head. It looks as though he’s been chipped! ?

Managed to drive into a pillar in a car park once. Fine, except I was in the only car on the entire floor.......

When I was young, my friends dad reversed his car, with them all in it, over their pet rabbit..

Many years ago when we were in the French exchange scheme we invited our French exchangers over to stay. They turned out to be older than us and did not speak a word of English.

Our French was pretty rusty so to help with the conversation we invited our friend, who was the head of modern languages at the local secondary school to join us for lunch.

All went well, the conversation flowed and after lunch I invited our French friends to come on an outing to a nearby tourist attraction.

When I filled in my insurance claim I said "I reversed into my friend's car which was parked behind my car in our drive (I was trying to speak French at the time)"

I'm sure you can all imagine the rsult.

We were once swopping our two cars for newer ones at the same garage. We were about to set off when DH reversed one of our cars into the other. Both acquired a dent!!

I was reversing out of my garage when all of a sudden the drivers door opened caught on the upright and almost came off of the car. I lost a lot of no claims that day.

I had a bit of an a accident last w/e only it was I who was damaged. I tripped over a low concrete barrier which was mostly hidden by a parked car. I took off in apparent slow motion and landed 10 feet away with my face and neck jammed into a post with a To the Toilets sign on it . Knees are scraped, blue and very sore as is the neck. Lucky not to have dislocated my jaw or worse. My poor DD thought I'd had it . I felt such a twerp. Good job I'm well upholstered

Oh no! Marmight what rotten luck. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Thanks Jane. I'll live! As you get older it takes longer for the evidence to disappear!!

Many years ago we bought a new electric lawn mower. David said "no lending it to the neighbours." So one day I lent it to a neighbour, who came to apologise because she`d run over the flex and cut it. It took us all day to find someone to fix it before David got home, when he did, he decided to cut the lawn...........and ran over the flex!!

callgirl I know I shouldn't laugh, but ....

callgirl We always borrowed our neighbour's hedge trimmer and one year I cut through the cable. I rushed out and bought a new one (cable). Luckily my father was staying and sorted it as frankly I didn't know how to. It wasn't till the neighbour next cut the hedge I realised it did not reach to the end of it. I was rumbled and I had to tell him! Lesson... tell the truth straight away. It's less embarassing!

So I'm not the only one! The poor freezer has now gone to the council tip.
My accident was similar to the mess I made of my first driving test. The examiner asked me to reverse round a corner and end up parked right next to the curb. I got round the corner ok, then lost my nerve and ended up on the pavement. I think I had my foot on the accelerator instead of the brake. I passed 3rd time.

I've forward parked my car into a space in Tesco car park 100s of times. Why then did I manage to scrape the wing of the car parked in the next space that one time

Two incidents spring to mind. I had a beautiful brand new Tigra when they first came out. Back in those days I was able to park the car in the garage and drove in with the tailgate up - very large bang and even larger repair bill

The other incident happened after I'd fallen and badly sprained my ankle so my husband in his wisdom decided that it would be a good idea to use my mothers newly acquired seat on wheels to get around the house. It worked well until I tried to get off it into the swivel chair - it swivelled and threw me into the fireplace where I banged my head and nose on the corner of the mantlepiece. Add black eye and swollen nose to the sprained ankle and I was confined to barracks for a week
