DD was meant to come over after school this aft with DGS but she texted to say she wouldn’t as he is not well and all snotty. Normally I would volunteer to have him here tomorrow if he is still not well (she works) However we are off on holiday on Friday and we don’t want to catch any germs/virus he might have. Now I am feeling a bit mean. confused

Won't you feel a bit mean if you spoil your companion's holiday with illness?
Don't feel guilty, you normally would volunteer, one time not doing so will not hurt.
Have a lovely time.

Don't feel mean. You're entitled to a life.

You are being sensible.

Thanks! Just what H is saying. If it weren’t for the fact that we are going away we would have him in a flash. It would ruin the holiday if we are coughing and sneezing all week.

Exactly, Artyfarty you have answered your own question.

Dont feel guilty, i am starting my 5 th week still on bedrest with what began as the bug which has progressed to bronchitis. Enjoy your holiday.

If DGS is poorly he might prefer to have his mum look after him especially if it's the flu. Don't feel guilty enjoy your holiday.

Don't feel guilty - I am sure your DD would be horrified if one of her germy children spoiled your holiday!

I agree, you have answered your own question- stay away from GS and enjoy your hopefully germ free holiday.
