I recieved this in a Christmas Card yesterday from a good friend and it raised a smile.

Do you know what would have happened if it had been
THREE WISE WOMEN instead of three wise men?
They would have asked for directions
Arrived on time
Helped deliver the baby
Cleaned the Stable
Made a casserole
Bought practical gifts and
THERE WOULD BE PEACE ON EARTH.

Since I was a child I have wondered what happened to the Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh. As the story goes on Mary & Joseph do not appear to have hidden wealth. I remember discussing this with our 'friend of the family' Minister and he admitted he hadn't a clue from the Bible, but had decided that this was probably what funded the 'Escape into Egypt' episode.

How true. Love it! tchsmile

I have to admit I'd never considered what happened to the King's gifts. That's certainly a possible solution - just like fleeing refugees have to fund their escape. I think that's a very interesting idea that's rarely, if ever, mentioned.

A friend sent this to me, it goes around every year. She suggested that the two of us would have done a good job and asked me for suggestions of a third!

Looking forward to the annual local program tonight of children's understanding of the nativity. Most of them on the preview this morning were saying gold, Frankenstein and myrrh grin

I really miss going to the infants nativity play, with grandaughters age 18 and 19 it's a far distant memory.?

I was in our local M&S the other day and they had "frankincense and myrrh" room perfume diffusers at half price so I bought one. I'm not that sure I even like it. I'd have preferred the gold.
