I was watching tv yesterday and saw this idea, it seems such a good one. Instead of taking a treat from an advent calendar for yourself you put a treat away for some one else, small toiletries,little presents and so on. My daughter tells me various charities are doing it.

Yes, I saw this idea recently, and I'll be putting something in the local food bank box every day in December. I'll still have my own Advent calendar as well though. blush

Yes my dd is doing it with the dgc, she’s been on the food bank website to see what they suggest - a mixture of basics and Christmas treats. They’ll have a box at home and the dgc will put something in every day but it’s important to check when in December the food bank need the boxes to be handed in
