Anyone have any experience of these people? Some of our double glazed windows have gone cloudy so the seals must have gone. This company is terrific according to their website but they would say that wouldn't they!!

I think it is a franchised firm Jane so people will have different experiences.
We had a large window replaced last year. They came and measured it ( unusual size) and ordered a new one.Heard nothing for three weeks. Then they came to fit it.It didn’t fit!
Had to take it away and remeasure and reorder. Two weeks later, came back with it, an old man and a youngster ( looked about 16) who struggled to lift it into place.?
Eventually they managed it.
Not great service, I think you will agree.

The glass itself is fine though.?

There are usually plenty of reputable local companies who do this type of replacement unit work. We have had a few replaced in houses over the years. See if you can get a recommendation.

I second using a local firm they do need to keep pleasing their customers as they rely on recommendations

We used cloudy2clear for one window. I think you are probably right Lemongrove about it being a franchise. He did a good job and there was no problem when I altered the order. We need more doing but thought we’d start with one to see what we thought of their service.

We had two double glazed panes replaced this year, by a very local firm. Great service and very prompt. I also asked for a DG pane at the base of our back porch door to be replaced by a blank panel. We have kept the DG glass pane, just in case we move and the new buyers want the original one. I would rather chose a local firm over a nationwide chain.

Our problem is that we're on the 4th floor and have metal window frames. It's an old building.
DH has said he'll call Cloudy 2Clear but will also ask neighbours for local recommendations.
