Just had the most hectic day ... ever!
A few days ago I was going to check-in online, when, horror of horrors, grandchildrens passports out of date by one month.
A frantic phone call to the passport office followed.
I would need to apply for renewal of their passports IN PERSON ....children cannot receive the emergency one day passports.
So as DS is working, I caught the train from Manchester to Liverpool. Busy, noisy, crowded. I was tired before I got there.
Once I arrived at Lime Street Station, I caught a black cab to the Passport Office.
What a wonderful cab driver. He helped me in and out (no easy task as I am not very nimble these days!).
He chatted, joked and made me feel looked after.
On my return journey, the same thing happened...lovely taxi man who took me right into the station (almost onto the train itself).
So thank you Liverpool...what a lovely city (what I saw of It) and that Liverpudlian accent....marvellous.
What a difference a day makes 😢😢

As a life long Beatles fan, I have visited a few times to see the Beatle-type places but there is so much more to that wonderful city than the Beatles.
