Streetlife/ Nextdoor

streetlife has also gone here, taken over by nextdoor, to the disappointment of all the streetlife members I know..

Streetlife has also gone from here (Bristol) and changed to Nextdoor which no one liked because of publishing full addresses online. Crazy!

I found Streetlife very useful but didn't change to Nextdoor because I didn't want my address to be public. I do miss it. I found a really good plumber on Streetlife but stupidly did not make a note of his phone number.

There is an option to delete your address but it was a right palaver to do. In the end my OH and I unsubscribed, that was a couple of months ago and we are still getting notifications daily. We really miss Streetlife too.

I'm in S.E. I'm sure Streetlife has been replaced nationwide by Nextdoor, much to my disapointment.
I haven't joined Nextdoor as had read warnings about it.

Try Kahuti. Much more friendly and anonymous than Next door. Of course there is always Gransnet Local.

I was joined to Next door, but it isn't anywhere near as useful as Streetlife was. I think I will leave it too

Streetlife went nationally and was taken over by Nextdoor which is American owned and run. It might be ok over the pond but hasn't worked at all well here The security was very suspect and the concept of only covering a small area is silly as a) not needed if you can knock on a door and b) makes you much more vulnerable if you're not in such a good area
I ve not heard of Kahuti is that national?
