Timothy Watson is one of the readers this afternoon on Words and Music on Radio 3. Fabulous programme, but I keep expecting him to say something cruel!

Sunday afternoons on Radio 3 - ah, what a joy! - The Choir, The Listening Service, then Words and Music. All by the fire. Excellent!

We recently read The Catcher in the Rye for our book group and I was surprised to find Robert Tichener was a character mentioned early on in the book. I wonder if the writer of the Archers was a fan of the book. He is a very minor character in the book.

Timothy Watson has a great voice doesn't he. He can do seductive, likeable as well as negative and sometimes very frightening. His portrayal of Rob has been brilliant and hopefully, his career is assured.
Sunday afternoon radio 3 is great but I switch to radio 2 at 3 for Johnny Walker. Different culture!
