Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but cold out , have yet to see any sign of wintry weather here in Brackley, although tonight and tomorrow may bring this.

Good morning Mick and everyone. Bitter cold in Lancashire, we had a bit of snow yesterday, not enough to stick.
Lunch with a friend today and 2 DGC coming for their usual Friday sleepover.
Hope you all have a good day.

Good morning Mick, morning all.

It's flipping perishing in North Leicestershire but we have no snow. I have a busy day ahead with a trip to the butcher's, a visit to mum and a library shift planned.

We also have a boiler service booked and a carpet fitter coming - good job DH has retired and can be here!

Keep warm everyone!

Good morning, Michael, and all GNs. A very hard overnight frost in South Yorkshire. Just about to make the first coffee of the day. I shall be in purdah with the BUBC (Big Unfriendly Birthday Cake) today, so will not be going very far unless it all goes wrong in which case I will run screaming for the hills! If DH has any sense, he will take himself well out of the way! Whatever you're doing, have a good day folks.

Morning Mick, Nana, Kitty and All.

Likely to be pretty Artic weather here in the Thames Valley today, which gives me an excuse to wear my lovely lilac winter wool and cashmere coat. About two years ago I was passing a very posh shop in Windsor that was closing down, everything was 70% off. That is how I come to have this wonderful winter wonder.

Enjoy your chilly day folks.

Can I have a piece of your cake Greyduster yummie ?

Good morning everybody! I have been tossing and turning since 5.30 ? woken, I suspect by the COLD ! After overthinking my life, the universe and everything for an hour and a half I have conceded defeat, let the dog out, made a mug of tea and retreated to bed to read the paper. I could go back to sleep now but have an Ocado delivery due 8.30 - 9.30 and with my luck they'll be early.
Wishing you all a pleasant day, whether busy or hunkering down. ❄️❄️

Morning all, dry but cold in N Norfolk.
I stumbled on an old thread on mumsnet yesterday, a trial that a certain company had run on their muscle toning machine . So I've found mine, put in new batteries and am twitching away as I type. Taken a photo of my tum, as they did on mumsnet, now hope for the best.

It's now snowing in North Leicestershire!

Love the sound of your coat Kate

Morning All

I was about to type the same as Pamela! Roll on summer!

Art class this morning and a grovelling. I've double booked. I've said we can join a quiz team next Friday evening but our DD1 and family are coming for the weekend - except as its half term their weekend is starting Thursday!

Good morning, it is grey and cold and we had a covering of snow at bedtime again. I am expecting a parcel so will be at home most of the day.
Gd1 has an interview for the High school, last step before the results next weekend.

Morning all. Dry and cold in Liverpool. Grey skies would prefer blue and sunshine but it's not snowing or raining so take comfort from that. Grandchildren down yesterday so sort of tidying but they will be down again on Saturday so not worth expending too much energy. Just found a piece of fish finger on the floor in the extension how it got there I do not know!

A bit of snow here this morning, looks nice but I'm glad I'm not going out. A day off from work today , last night I'd planned a long lie as a restorative treat, but woke up at the usual time and couldn't lie still ! Had breakfast then went back to bed to try again , then the builders next door came at 6.45 !! Up and looking at the snow . Lots of cosy housey stuff for me today ! Might make a cake too !

Morning, folks! Still cold here but DRY and we might even get some sunshine! I'm off out brambling (digging the beasts up!) later. Pulled out a few baby ones yesterday but the Big Yins need an adze. Ah, the times I've ended up on my backside in the mud when yanking on half dug out brambles. Happy times wink

Happy days, dudes!

Good morning from a cold, grey London again!
Your coat sounds beautiful, Kate, and your Blurb, intimidating, Greyduster.

DH + I are off to a preview of "Revolution" at the Royal Academy( centenary of Russian revolution), then lunch out. Our children's gifts of membership cards to various museums are very much exploited and enjoyed throughout the year.

Tonight, we have a friend's birthday party. I met her at my first teaching post when I was 21 and she 24 and we have been friends ever since.

Enjoy your Friday, everyone, whatever you are doing, and stay warm.

Rinouchka Fri 10-Feb-17 08:39:06

Meant Bubc, not Blurb, Greyduster! Must take notes when reading posts....

Good morning from a grey, cold Colchester.
There were several snow/sleet flurries yesterday.
Coffee with friends this morning at the Wilkins Jam cafe in town, might be forced to have a scone.....?

Swanny Fri 10-Feb-17 09:48:56

Good morning everyone, although it isn't a 'good' morning in my bit of N London. Cold, grey, damp and misty - yuk grin Definitely the sort of day to curl up with a good book. Not for me though as I have 2 appointments then the school run later. Hope you all take care and keep warm - love the sound of your coat NanKate smile

Good morning everyone, it's cold, but at least it's dry here near Glasgow. Thank goodness, no need for brollies. I am getting a new boiler fitted at this very moment and am freezing and there is no water! We have decided to go to pub for lunch wineand the loo! Hope it is finished today, as gas fitter is off to Benidorm tomorrow!
Coat sounds lovely. I love lilac and cashmere into the bargain. Enjoy.
