And an earlier Good Morning than usual from me, Mick! And Good Morning later risers!

Early start today as I have a course to attend in central London. Blustery day promised here but dark as night right now.

(Am somewhat confused by the additional Good Morning thread on the café site)

Hope Thursday proves pleasant for you all

Good morning from France, Michael. Pretty much the same here! A quiet mid-winter day lies ahead.

kittylester Thu 02-Feb-17 07:00:11

Glad to see you Mick, promise you will always start the good morning thread! It's all change out there!!

Morning all!!

It's quite soggy in North Leicestershire - I hate packing the car with the supermarket shop when it's wet. I know, first world problem.

So, Sainsbury's this morning and, hopefully, a cuppa with another gner this afternoon. smilebrew

Enjoy your Thursdays everyone.sunshine

Good Morning Mick.

I agree Kitty we want Mick to kickstart our day.

It's the calm before the storm expected tomorrow here in the south east.

Waiting for a FaceTime call to sing Happy 4th Birthday to our DGS. Love him smile

Good morning. Still dark but dry at least in Lancashire.
I'm tired this morning after yesterday with 3 year old DGD, I enjoyed it though.
Supermarket and a visit to mum this morning. Cinema with friends this afternoon, they call it silver screening and its £3 including the film, tea and a biscuit, a bargain.
Enjoy your day everyone.

Morning Mick and everyone. Yes please continue to start the thread.
Pink sky here in N Kent, it's breezy but mild.
I have a 12 mile drive each way to the nearest DIY store today. Peace and quiet has it's disadvantages.

Morning All

High grey cloud here in Norfolk. Hopefully it'll be a better day than the soggy one we had yesterday. I had lots of phone calls from bored friends! Nothing planned but we may go to the cinema to see Denial. I've heard it's very good.

Morning All. Yes, mick, please continue to start our day. Wild and wet night and it's still blowing a gale in our corner of Somerset. Horizontal rain at the moment. Nothing outside on the agenda today, cleaning and school run later. Hope Thursday is kind to everyone.

Good morning from a brighter than yesterday Colchester. Dry, calm and mild.
Still a bit tired as we were all snoring and coughing last night, yet another cold!
Pottering around today as have no firm plans.

harrigran Thu 02-Feb-17 08:12:23

Good morning, mild and calm this morning but not for much longer if the forecast is correct.
Carry on Michael, I agree with others why should I get up and go to the cafe when I can read this thread while I have my first cuppa of the day ?

PRINTMISS Thu 02-Feb-17 08:12:37

Good morning to you all, I am earlier than usual this morning, as we are off to the hospital for a check up for the other half. Our daughter is coming to drive us there, as it is farther than DH likes to drive these days. I have a feeling it will be an hour wait for a five minute check up, but we shall see, Worth it because DH is feeling very sorry for himself at the moment. Enjoy your days.

Greyduster Thu 02-Feb-17 08:15:24

Good morning, Michael, and all GNs. Where else would I want to start my day, Mick, but here! It is blowing fit to bust and threatening rain in South Yorkshire. I have to go over to Chesterfield today but I will be straight there and straight back, I think. It is not a day to loiter, mooching round the market, as is my wont when I go there. I may make some scones this afternoon as we have half a tub of cream left and a fresh pot of jam to start. Have a happy day, folks. Have a good day, folks!

whitewave Thu 02-Feb-17 08:29:28

Morning Mike and all

I issue an invitation to all on the cafe to leave their good mornings to this long established and happy thread.

Rain forecast today. Beginning to look longingly at the garden - won't be long!!

Must contact my friend today whose terminal breast cancer has taken a turn for the worst -she starts another lot of chemo today - what can you say? I feel desperate for her.

Enjoy your day folks

Good morning Mick and everybody. A much brighter morning in this corner of N Bucks, but I believe ☔️ rain is forecast. Ah well.
Wishing you all a pleasant day!

Good morning all. Wet and windy in Cheshire with the pressure dropping rapidly.

I have two budgies and the weather changes in air pressure seems to have a big effect on how active they are. Right now they are sitting in their cage looking thoughly miserable.

thatbags Thu 02-Feb-17 09:27:54

Morning all! This morning's coping strategy (one of those mornings!) is sitting in bed with a pot of Yorkshire Tea (so much nicer than supermarket "own brands") and five of the purple ones out of a Celebrations tub. Minibags is off school with a very bad cold (cough, cough, cough, cough, cough, cough). The weather, meanwhile, is meh.

Stansgran Thu 02-Feb-17 10:19:30

I've risen very late though I'm rubbish at getting up. Very dizzy this morning but DH has a GP appointment so I went back to sleep. Grey and damp in Durham.

hildajenniJ Thu 02-Feb-17 10:22:44

Good morning everyone.
From a grey, overcast and breezy Tyne Valley. I must make an appointment to have my hair cut! Nothing much on today, just pottering around doing light housework.
Have a good day everyone.

Nelliemoser Thu 02-Feb-17 11:07:58

thoroughly miserable I just couldn't proof read to save my life.
