Why don't Chocolates taste like they used to? Bland and boring. Or are my taste buds becoming jaded .If I get any this Xmas ,I will be giving them away, usually to the children next door.
Used to love Dairy Box, but even there disappointing.Have hinted to my family I would like Hotel Chocolates, delicious individual moments of heaven!

Mostly taken over by American companies who use flavouring rather cocoa butter. RIP the cadburys creme egg?

I don't eat chocolate.

Thorntons chocolates for me, they are delicious.

I agree with you - the ones we all used to love (where they still exist) do taste bland and boring. Having said that, I won a box of Terry's All Gold in a raffle recently and I have to say they were still as nice as I remember them. Thorntons used to be my favourite but they have gone seriously downhill. As for Roses and Quality Street ?! Not that I should be eating any of them with my figure!!

I agree cadburys are just not nice anymore :-(

I don't like mik chocolate but love dark chocolate which I eat every day. I agree Cadbury 's is not like it used to be. The American influence has not done it any favours.

Some Thorntons chocolate is ok but not all. I eat Cote D'Or here in France which is good. Love After Eights which we get here. In fact the supermarkets sell a lot of english chocolate.

I remember nearly thirty years ago, when DD was in 6th form we had a German student to stay and when she left I sent a large box of Continentals home with her for her mother. She sent me a nice letter and said they we're the best chocolates she'd ever had. i thought so then, too.

I think the best chocolates at the moment are from M&S, believe me that is a compliment as they are not on my list of favourite stores tchgrin

Thorntons are awful, close your eyes and eat one,all taste the same?Had forgotten about Terry's all gold maybe will hint for some. Also I buy Aldi dark chocolate chilli and cherry, like that. But I do think as I've got older like stronger flavours.Must try M&S .

I never could eat dark chocolate, it doesn't agree with me, but even the sweeter stuff holds less attraction for me now.

If I am giving chocolates, I am careful to choose really good quality. Rather eat one or two really good ones than cram a handful of rough-tasting cheap ones in!

Lindor (in the red box), also M &S Swiss chocolates (full of nuts) are my favourites. I agree Thorntons all taste the same.
