Good morning Mick, it's really nice to have you back!

It's still dark but has been raining in North Leicestershire.

A couple of roads out of the village are flooded and the railway bridge has not been fully repaired yet so the traffic down our road is heavy. Today I'm going to my volunteer session so Id better get moving and join the queues.

Morning Mick, Morning Kitty, Morning All. Dark in our corner of Somerset but blessedly dry. Some floods near us as well kitty. Sort of a sighed here we go again comes to mind. Still, on with the day. Some batch cooking, coffee with neighbours and some grandparent duties. Nice enough day ahead. Hope Tuesday is kind to you.

The weather continues wet and windy in Tynedale, just as it was all night. That is why I have come back to bed. I had very little sleep because of it, and I was up at 04:00 for work. It is getting to be quite a struggle, so I'm thinking of retiring properly after Christmas.

Good morning from Devon,won't have time tomorrow morning because I have to leave at 6 45,I'm going to London, to the O2 to see Elvis,but first we are having tea at the Ritze,then Thursday sight seeing,Friday shopping and Saturday to oxford to see nephew,home Sunday.Sooo sooo excited.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. It is still raining in South Yorkshire - as if yesterday wasn't bad enough. The journey back from DDs after the school pickup yesterday was the scariest I have ever known, with lashing rain and flooded roads where you least expected them. They are mostly unlit country roads and you can't see the water in the dark until you're on top of it. I have to go to the library this morning but will use the bus. Second school run this afternoon. Hope it's dried up a bit by then! Have a good day, folks.

A calm morning - last night's gale has gone and there are still leaves clinging to the enormous birches beyond the brook.

Good morning, it was a wild night here with torrential rain. I can see blown over wheelie bins lying on the road and drivers are driving round them rather than stopping and removing them.
