Cobblers!

My daughter bought me a pair of ankle boots for Xmas last year which I hadn't worn so thought I'd put them on to go into town last week. Ended up falling in the High Street, because the soles of the boots had no tread on them . Luckily no broken bones just bruised and embarrassed. Took them into the cobblers today to have new fall proof heels and soles put on - £21.00! The boots aren't leather, so would have almost been cheaper to buy a new pair of boots. Maybe that's what everyone else does these days?

Ouch! Both for the bruises and the resoling cost!

MrBags had shoes that made him come a-cropper a few times.

If you buy footwear with a smooth sole, rub them with coarse sandpaper to give a bit of grip before wearing.
Hope you've recovered ok
