Mobile phones

I know just how you feel. We had a visit from my sister and brother in law recently and they were glued to their phones, kept stopping on days out to check them. During a family meal one of my granddaughters pointed out " its Nanny's rule that there are no phones at the table" and they reluctantly put them away!

It always amazes me to see how many people who are at sporting events etc and sit there with noses glued to their phones. I have a friend who is forever looking at hers, that and the flippin tv is always on means I rarely visit these days.
The mums ignoring their children is the worst thing, so dangerous too as they have no idea what the children are doing half the time.

I find it irritating walking along the pavement and someone comes towards me with eyes glued to their phone. I just stop in front of them until they realise. I've also noticed the 'glue' syndrome at pedestrian lights and at zebra crossings - I stop the car and wait....and eventually they realise! It's the babies in buggies that I feel sorry for though - gone are the days when children were shown what's around them and talked to!

I was talking to my granddaughter today about a long distance relationship I had in my youth and how difficult it was to keep in touch. It was hard for her to imagine a world without Internet and mobile phones.
It annoys me as well when I'm having a conversation with someone and they keep looking at their phone.
