Will Gowing QVC - 'free trial'

I was delighted to get a message from Will Gowing of QVC this morning to say that I had been selected to receive a 'free trial' of Hydravella. This was after I had entered a competition on the Will Gowing Tv Facebook page to win AlphaH skincare. All that was required was for me to go to his personal page and click on a link. I thought I'd won something. Then I noticed that quite a few others had received the same message. On clicking through it turns out that there is a 'shipping and handling' fee of Almost £8 and this requires you to enter your credit card details. I quit the link at that stage and searched 'Hydravella free trial' on Google. The result: supplementpolice.com/skin-care-free-trial-offers

Of course it may be that this is a legitimate offer, but I'm not willing to take a risk.

You could call QVC customer services I think it is a free phone number from a land line or send them an email.
I would ask them out right about the Qvc message and inform them what you have found on google.

I messaged the page asking for a guarantee that the offer wasn't a scam and my message was hastily removed. I then received a private message from another lady telling me that it was indeed a scam and that the 'link' to Will Gowing's page led you to a bogus page. Don't know what to trust these days, which is why I'm so cautious. (Not sure even whether to trust the private message tbh.)

Yes, a lot of these 'free' offers ask for bank details. At that point I quit the site.

The same with 'one week free trial'.

He's a presenter on QVC. They've now removed the link and apologized. Apparently his Facebook page was hacked. I just hope no-one gave all their details and compromised their bank accounts.
