Just home from big family wedding in extreme north of Scotland. Service was held in same church that Queen Mother used to worship in when she stayed at Mey. We stayed in a wonderful 15th century tower house hotel right on the coast, looking out of the window from the bed was like being at sea!! (Pic attached) The young couple were so happy, there was such a feeling of linking with the past in the church-how many young couples said their vows in that spot? It was a wonderful day and the weather gods were relatively kind! Even passed within 100 yards of Prince Charles who was at the local Games! Very discreet armed police presence spotted in fields though! We're now limp, washed out with suitcases full of washing. Had a lovely time though.
