Its a bright start with high cloud in North Leicestershire and we are back into football. My job is to make brunch for DH and DS1 and then wave them off before consoling them when they get back.

Mick, have you heard Beverley Knight and Jamie Cullum's version of 'Private Number'? I love it and a good bit of symmetry to see her when you were going to see 'Motown'.

Good morning all it looks like being a good day here in Cheshire. I must now get my nose out of my Barbara Pym novel and get dressed. I can't sit and read all day .

I had to do a Google, to identify her yesterday, she is quiet spoken, and some who had sat down by the entrance ,had noticed her , I thought she was one of the Motown cast, but Thursdays that's a matinee, before I went into that show, mind both packed houses at Motown.

It's a beautiful day here in Norfolk. We're off to babysit DGS1 (aged 2) and his dog while DS and wife go to see the bank manager - and taking DD1's dogs who're staying with us. Hopefully it'll tire them out as there's a big garden with the house they're temporarily renting.

Good morning to you all, a really bright start to the day here, and it promises to be hot, so I am not going anywhere or doing anything except potting up a few little plants I bought earlier in the week. I finally disposed of some pansies which have been flowering since before Christmas, they were definitely past their best before date (a bit like me) but I hate throwing away plants which are still in flower. Enjoy your days.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Late today as I've been braving DH's rucksack to sort out the dirty laundry. Had to have a cuppa to get over the whiff! Machine is now whirring and I am waiting for Sainsburys delivery before getting out in the sunshine.

Glorious day on South Downs. Shorts and tee shirt on ready for a day in the garden. I am going to try sowing some cirsium seeds as they are blowing over the garden - the bees adore the flowers so have obviously done their job. Also going to sow anthirrinums for next year to bring them on early. On of my lilies is in flower and beautiful, but obviously doesn't like the chalky soil - I did bung in a load of compost, so I am going to dig it up when the flowers have finished and pot it into ericaceous.

After that I shall sit and start a baby shawl for next doors expectant baby in the autumn so I'd better get a mine on!
