I had to pay some money into the bank, some of it was in pound coins and to my surprise I was told this had to be counted by a new machine. This was done and I was given a slip to pay in. The machine gave me 50p extra! But I just wonder why do they need a machine? Can't cashiers count any more? Is it to cut out human error (somebody should tell the machine that!)
