DD2 was going to ring me this morning so I've been hovering near the phone. She's recovering from major surgery with more due in a fortnight so we've been ringing eachother quite a bit lately.

Her DH and teenage children have been brilliant but I think the novelty of 'looking after Mum' is beginning to wear off because I've just received this facebook message:

'Sorry I haven't phoned as promised but I'm having a MAJOR STROP over the state of the kitchen so I can't put on a cheerful voice or they'll think I'm over it' grin

That's my girl!!

Does it make you smile when you recognise your own little wiles?

Well done that minimerlot I can remember when I was getting better I could strop for England about the state of the kitchen. Best wishes for her speedy recovery.

Thanks, everyone. We certainly hope she's well on the way to recovery. A complicated op has led to the need for further surgery but after that we hope she'll be fine.
