Everywhere I stand is gritty, there is a dusting of caster sugar all over the kitchen surfaces and even in the fridge. There was a tear in the bag of sugar I bought as part of a big shop this morning, so it has sprinkled itself gently and liberally over and into everything. And it's sticky because it was raining! Of course I understand that paper is 'green' and but there must be a better way to wrap. In France you can buy it in tetrapak cartons as well as plastic pouches, not as environmentally friendly but ..... Any ideas for an alternative? Before I really lose it?
