Oh the sad irony
Tried to recount an amusing (I thought) anecdote about David Cameron from his new biography
DC, arriving at Oxford, asks a fellow student where he is from.
"Luton" is the reply
"But I'm from Eton too!" exclaims our future PM
I got a polite half smile from DH who is usually up for a joke about DC, so I asked "Did you hear that?"
"Not really"
As I said,
irony.
More seriously, how do others cope with rethinking their everyday conversation? He wears a hearing aid in one ear, but still misses quite a lot, so I have to be sure we are facing each other when I speak and weigh up if it is worth saying at all.
