We have a blocked drain so a section of drive had to come up. DH (with 2 heart attacks, a stent and a mini pharmacy in the bathroom) spent 2 hours this morning lifting a section of lock block and barrowing about half a ton of gravel in order to expose the manhole. I wasn't happy about this, but he promised he'd take it easy for the rest of the day. I went out to meet a friend after lunch and when I got home there he was outside in his wellies power washing the paths and patio! I know he feels well but I think he takes too many risks sometimes. He's now off to put up hot tub for dgd's party. Aargh!
Burnham to tell schools in England to adapt teaching to local business needs- what do you think?
Good Morning Thursday 30th July 2026

(for him, not you)

- came home as happy as can be. He is shattered today and complaining about stiff muscles. Still happy though, especially when I tell him he'll always be my 'man of the match'.
