Good morning from Athans. Very rough 24 hours at sea with a force 8 gale so arriving here late. Blue skies and only high teens temperatures. Unfortunately all my warmer trousers have shrunk in the wardrobe since last warn. Must be the sea air. Home soon.

Good morning everyone.
Lovely start to the morning in my part of Northumberland. Driving in from work, I am sure I saw a pair of swallows on the wire above the office of our local coach tour company. The forecast isn't too clever for the weekend though, so I'm going to make the most of today.

Good morning folks, shight & brinney here this day [sun]

Good morning All

The swallows arrived in Norfolk a couple of weeks ago Brenda so the ones who're just passing through have probably reached Northumberland by now. It's lovely to see them back.

The sun is shining here today in a clear blue sky. A bit chilly as yet though. According to the forecast at the beginning of the week it should be overcast and raining. Not complaining - but I do wish they could get it right a bit more often, we've got indoor stuff planned now.

And my iron is refusing to heat up.

Good morning all. Another lovely, fresh sunny day here in Wilmslow.
My joints are all complaining though, I don't think they like the sun!

Just a short trawl round the shops and then I shall loll on a garden chair.
Happy days sunshine

Another bright dry morning in Colchester. Off into town to get some local honey from the market for my hay fever.
The sprinkler took up residence on the lawn last night. Praying for some overnight rain or we face a hosepipe ban - and it's still April confused

annsixty Fri 24-Apr-15 08:36:32

Lona I "took my joints" to the Doc's yesterday and am take painkillers for two weeks and then go for x-rays on both knees and one hip. This is very sudden. Happy days !!

ninathenana Fri 24-Apr-15 08:38:55

Morning all.

Bright with hazy sunshine and cool here in N Kent.

The weekly trip to Asda today.

Sorry to hear that annsixty, I hate taking tablets but needs must sometimes. I'm beginning to look longingly at walking sticks! smile

Pretty grey here near Bath, was clear blue skies a couple of hours ago.
Just bathed doggy lodger who came with unwelcome guests (of the flea variety) and has been scratching incessantly hmm. She's now sulking under the table, ungrateful hussy!
Housework today, and hopefully it'll warm up later but not too optimistic- garden badly needs rain.

daffydil Fri 24-Apr-15 08:59:49

Good morning all.
Good start to the day in mid Essex. Tea and a natter with a friend this p.m. and not much else planned though the ironing pile is looking ominous. hmm

annodomini Fri 24-Apr-15 09:20:57

Dry with little wind but cooler today.
DH recovering from his back injections but they seem OK. It takes about 2 weeks for them to take proper effect so fingers crossed.

Off to see Mum today - getting lunch for her and us.

newist hope all is well whatever you have had done!!! Haven't been reading too much lately so not up to speed.

loopylou Fri 24-Apr-15 11:02:20

Good morning all. The sun is struggling to get through thick cloud at the moment. At least the forecast for rain has changed, again. The weather here is changing faster than the UK at the moment but that's April for you. I've got everything crossed that it will be fine for DD1's visit next week.

Our internet kept dropping out yesterday so I'm glad to be able to send best wishes for your recovery today newist. I hope it's not too sore. flowers

I felt two tiny drops of rain earlier as I was turning the compost. (East Cornwall.)
