Facebook scam

Never sure what heading to put this under.

This morning I received a very genuine looking email from Facebook saying that my account had been temporarily suspended as they had changed the terms and conditions of my account and I had to click on the link below to read and confirm that I accepted the new terms and conditions.

I was not tempted to do so as I am not on Facebook!!

However for those who are, if you get this email treat it with caution and delete it unread.

Thank you FlicketyB. I will bear this in mind if I receive such an email. I am on Facebook but only really to keep in touch with DD and family.

My daughter has taught me the Golden Rule of scam detection: if you have to click on a link in an email to change or confirm your details. Don't ever do it. I apply it universally now.
